We are very thankful to them for letting us store our luggage after our checkout for a couple of hours and they offered to drop us to the bus station aswelll. They are very kind. They have two goats aswell called ponyo and peo.

First of all: This is not an apartment, but rather a mini-mansion. Far bigger than we expected! Also - super stylish and "retro", full of old, beautiful furniture and filled with various nooks and crannies. On top of all of that, it is super well equipped and everything works perfectly. Location couldn't be better, right between Nara train station and the famous Nara deer park. We were very lucky and grateful to find this superb apartment.

Ranjatai, een accommodatie met een tuin, is gelegen in Nara, op 1,9 km van station Nara, 20 km van Iwafune Shrine, en 24 km van Rugbystadion Higashiosaka Hanazono. This is an amazing property and we loved staying in a traditional Japanese townhouse, in a quiet part of town. I was travelling with my husband and 3 adult children in early April. The location is great for walking into Nara (10-15 mins). We arrived in the evening and it was lovely that our host had put the heating on for us and it was easy to retrieve the keys from the key safe. It was a bonus to find there are 2 toilets and 2 hand washing basins in the property. We all agreed that the shower is the most powerful shower we have ever come across - amazing. All the beds were large doubles and very comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights and our host had left lots of extra towels for us (far more than we chose to use). We liked that the bedrooms could also be heated in the evening, if needed. I used the washing machine and the instructions in English were helpful. There were lots of hanging rails to dry clothes on. The kitchen was well equipped and had more than we needed to reheat meals from the convenience store or to make snacks. For the rest of our stay in Japan we stayed in aparthotels in family suites. I was great to have so much room to spread out in for a few days. I highly recommend this property.

A highlight was the projector upstairs! So cool! The stairs take a bit of getting used to but I found them to be a memorable detail and appreciate the historic charm.
