It was an absolutely unique experience to stay in an old traditional japanese house /all japanese art included, kimono, swords, furniture, games/ hosted by well educated Hideo very nice gentleman, who showed us around the house, also prepared us a cup of tea in traditional way, and we chatted about everything. Recommended to everyone who is tired of anonymous hotels and likes to meet local people.

HIYASAI -LOGIN Kurashiki- is located in Kurashiki, within 10 km of Mizushima Ryokuchi Fukuda Park and 11 km of Tanematsuyama Park. Location was ideal just near Kurashiki's historical area + surrounded by a lot of traditional and modern restaurants.

In the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter district of Kurashiki, close to Shinkeien Garden, 滔々 倉敷民藝館南の宿 toutou, Mingeikan Minami no Yado has free WiFi and a washing machine. The room is huge and very comfortable! It looks a bit dark on the photos, but it's so much better then that! It's right in the center of the old village, but you won't hear anything from the outside really. The seating area is really nice and we loved the provided breakfast. The kitchen is beautiful and convenient as well. The bathroom is really spacious.

Set in Okayama, within 3.7 km of Rian Bunko Art Museum and 4 km of Kuni Shrine, 3 Wellness offers accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private... Spacious room with easy washer/dryer. I really liked the solid hand rails on the wall of the Japanese shower. Solid elevator. Beautiful view of nearby mountains. I loved the food next door at the Family Mart 24/7 convenience store. I picked up toiletries at a big drug store just 1/2 block away. I got a coat and sweaters at a popular clothing store 3 blocks away. JR train station (Kitinagase) is across the street. Easy ticket machine with English option. Taxis available at the station. Next to the JR station is a pretty park with stores and food and beautiful lighting at night. JR train to Okayama station takes about 4 minutes. Just 3 stops to Kurashiki train station... under 15 minutes. Lots of fun and shopping and restaurants at Okayama station and in Kurashiki. Okayama station also has Shinkansen hi-speed rail. I took the Shinkansen to Shin-Osaka station and then train express from there to KIX airport in Osaka. Each ride was about an hour. It helps to get these tickets in advance at the ticket store at Okayama station. I specified that I had luggage. When I came to Okayama from Shin-Osaka, I was late for my Shinkansen train. They let me take the next Shinkansen to Okayama on that ticket... which was under a half hour wait in early afternoon. It was a fun and beautiful ride.

Situated in Okayama, 1.3 km from Kuni Shrine and 1.6 km from Sci-pia: Science and Humanity Museum For The Future, Touchian offers a garden and air conditioning. The facilities were exceptional with a nice LARGE bath, plenty of room and a fully equipped kitchen. Owner was very caring and filled the fridge with delicious local food, including the legendary Okayama Pione grape. Will come again next time we need to stay at Okayama!

In the Naka Ward district of Okayama, close to Kōrakuen, Villa後楽園 features a garden and a washing machine. Such a beautiful property! Enough space for 4 people to stay comfortably. Plenty of cooking equipment to make anything you want. Overall, an amazing stay!

Set in Okayama and only less than 1 km from Kuni Shrine, Okayama Garden House Near Station Free Parking offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Qing was a great host. The house was beautiful, modern, spacious and comfortable for my family of five. It was in a quiet location but close to Okayama.
