The place is simply amazing. The house is beautifully decorated—nothing feels excessive, yet nothing is missing. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the whole property offers a perfect blend of Sri Lankan charm and European comfort. Every little detail has been carefully thought through, with a wonderful combination of natural materials, batik artwork, and large windows overlooking Kandy. Rawi, who takes care of the property, is truly an artist. The garden is exceptionally well maintained, and as he told us, it is his heart and passion. Rawi, the lovely lady who served us breakfast every morning, and the manager, were all genuinely kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. Breakfast is authentically Sri Lankan, with plenty of fresh fruit, freshly squeezed juice, and delicious local specialties. Tea, coffee, and drinking water are available at any time of the day. The comfortable living room, filled with books and board games, makes you feel right at home. The manager was also very helpful and recommended an excellent place to see traditional batik production when we asked. This was such a pleasant stay that we could easily have stayed much longer.
