It was the perfect relaxing location that I was looking for the last days of my trip. It is situated on the outskirts of a tiny little village. The owner Lorenzo picked me up from the center of Tarapoto which is about 40 minutes away - very helpful! Both Lorenzo and his wife Silvia were extremely gracious and made me feel most welcomed. They were very attentive and made me feel at home. The lodges are beautiful! They are located above the trees, allowing for wonderful views. They are well appointed and extremely comfortable and very private. The bathroom could be described as luxurious - plenty of solar powered hot water! For the adventurous and fit, there is a nearby trail to a waterfall that entails several river crossings that takes you through the jungle and isn't crowded since there is no car/motorcycle access. The swimming pool is fantastic! Luscious surroundings - felt like paradise! They have built a lovely mirador at the top of the property which has a spectacular view! They have solar lights that automatically illuminate the paths and stairs which safely guide you throughout during the dark of the evening/night. Very well done!

Such a wonderful place. I originally booked a week, but extended another two days and would have stayed even longer if I didn’t have to leave Tarapoto. Sara was very helpful and accommodating despite my terrible Spanish and was always on hand if I needed anything. Was visited by the titi monkeys several times, along with a load of different birds right outside the huge mesh window, while I was working away on my laptop. Just great. Perfect distance into the main part of town, with some essentials just a couple of minutes walk away as well. Bed was very comfortable too. Will definitely come back.

Amasisa Casa Vacacional Sauce, Laguna Azul is a recently renovated holiday home in Sauce, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. The house was perfect for our group of six. Comfy beds and bedrooms. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything needed to cook meals and wash dishes. There were clean towels, toilet paper and toiletries available in the two bathrooms. The back yard is large and has a grill and a small seating area. Also lots of beautiful plants. There is a staircase leading down to the river that's right next to the house (could maybe even float down it to the laguna), and at night you hear frogs and nature when going to sleep - super relaxing. The host, Mayliflor, met us upon arrival and was super friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this house to others!
