The owner gave a lot of information about the village, everything was explained clearly. A lot of showers and toilets, mattress is quite firm (I loved it).

Absolutely stunning apartment in the heart of the birthplace of Portugal! My wife and kids enjoyed a lovely week holiday on this property where we were met by the host that right away made us feel extremely welcomed and at peace in all senses! They were very helpful with ideas and recommendations of places to visit and enjoy some amazing local gastronomy, all the amenities were 100% well kept, safe for children of all ages. The kitchen had all the appliances needed, the laundry room was always well stocked and full of bedsheets, blankets, extra pillows and detergents. We cannot recommend this property enough and we will definitely come back on future holidays! Guimarães has won a special place on our hearts.

I took a 2 week trip to Portugal and moved around nomadically from property to property in the north and this was an exceptional experience. This property is as beautiful as the host and even more beautiful in real life. I felt right at home instantly, so much so that I’ve already booked my next stay. The room is as stunning as the view and every detail from the pillows and Egyptian cotton linen to the toiletries, all gently scented to blend with nature the host has carefully selected to spoil her guests. Steeped in family tradition, even the name has a beautiful story behind it that the host shared with me over a delicious white from the her vineyard beside a cosy fireplace, I felt transported in time, I’m definitely coming back for the harvest. And I almost forgot to mention, at night the adjacent homes across the water turn into little glistening stars mirroring the skies above, I found calm my body much needed.
