The apartment was brand new and perfectly set up. Terrific value. But the neighborhood was a bit sketchy and it took a good hour of driving and dragging luggage and asking everyone where it was. No one knew. The host finally texted us the directions, but she should have done this the day before. That would have made the whole experience of getting in less frustrating.

The cottage was a wonderful choise for our Christmas nights. It was exactly like in the pictures. This very sweet house was very quiet , clean and decorated with very good taste. The host was very nice and helpful . This magical house is very close to Transfagarasan so the view was wonderful.

Luxury Apartment Centrul Vechi es un hospedaje con vistas a la montaña, está establecido en Curtea de Argeş, a 30 km de Vidraru Dam. We stayed for one night and really enjoyed it. The apartment was super clean and smelled great when we walked in. The bed was comfy, the sheets were fresh, and the place felt spacious and cozy. It had everything we needed – a kettle, gas stove, fridge – all in good shape. The location is perfect, close to shops and a street with bars, but still quiet at night. Check-in was super easy with clear instructions sent by the hosts. Great value for money. We'd definitely come back.

La Văru cuenta con vista al río, WiFi gratis, estacionamiento privado de cortesía, y está establecido en Cârţişoara, a 41 km de Făgăraș Fortress. Lovely place to stay, clean and cozy cabin feel. The host made us feel like home and welcomed us. Would definitely return.

Establecido a 12 km de Vidraru Dam, Baltina Parc Transfagarasan ofrece un jardín, un salón compartido y hospedaje climatizado con un balcón y WiFi gratis. This is a property maintained with love, and the guests can surely feel that! Located in a wonderful spot at the "base" of Transfagarasan, it really exceeded our expectations. All modern amenities were provided, including AC (and it was a heat wave, so it was wonderful to have it!), fridge, flat screen TV, wi-fi, amazing pressure in the shower, nice size closet, big room, very comfy beds, amazing bed linens, privacy (one cabin per couple or family)....I might use the word amazing too much in this review, but I was so impressed with the place and the hosts-their kindness and eagerness to tend to any client whim, the information they offered on dining, hiking, etc., the stories we shared while having a glass of "afinata"(blueberry liquor)-made by the host! Which reminds me: there was also an orchard, where we could “pick our own” and I personally was able to enjoy the only sweet, real, non GMO apricots I had since 30 years ago, when I left my home country; sour cherries (almost never seen in NJ where I live), sweet cherries and more, heaven for city people like us! There is a common kitchen where one could socialize with the "neighbors" while enjoying a good espresso (provided by the hosts). There is a playground for children, including a trampoline, toys, a pond, a few more gazebos if you have friends over....I could continue forever...My favorite part though was the landscaping-flowers everywhere, tastefully positioned and exceptionally well maintained by Luminita (the lady of the manor😄). Just another thing to mention about the solicitude of the hosts: there was a family who got lost on the way and Luminita stayed up till well after 12 am to make sure they arrived safely and to greet them-we helped a little with the communication in English, but I must say I was very impressed-sometimes you don’t get this service in a 4 stars hotel. If you are planning a trip to Romania and Transfagarasan, don’t miss this place-you will not regret it!

Situado en Curtea de Argeş, a 31 km de Vidraru Dam, pensiunea ALBERO cuenta con hospedaje con un jardín, estacionamiento privado de cortesía, un salón compartido y una terraza. Reservamos de manera improvisada porque veníamos de atravesar Transfagarasan y estábamos cansados. Es un chalet muy moderno en el que los dueños (una familia encantadora) alquila algunas habitaciones. La nuestra era grande, cama súper comoda, nevera con agua, ducha super moderna y bañera con chorros. Television para poder poner tu Netflix. Además, podíamos usar la cocina con cafetera con cápsulas, tostador y todo tipo de menaje. Fueron tan amables que nos ofrecieron tomates de la huerta. Por cierto, puedes dejar el coche dentro del chalet.
