Marjan and Tamara greeted us warmly with delicious food and shared incredibly helpful tips about the region and the best places to visit to fully enjoy the country. The beds were very comfortable, the sauna was easy to use, and the home had everything we needed to cook and relax while taking in the beautiful view. A delightful surprise awaited us with a delicious breakfast served early in the morning. When we decided to head to the beach, Tamara thoughtfully provided beach towels, which made our stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place with genuine human connection and kind, welcoming hosts, this is absolutely the place to stay. Highly recommended!

Central Garden House (family friendly!) is situated in Postojna, 11 km from Predjama Castle, 30 km from The Škocjan Caves, and 45 km from Trieste Train Station. The apartment was clean. You must walk down a paved slope to the entrance, but, even with luggage, it’s manageable. The host is helpful and friendly. The location is nice. It’s short walking distance to bakeries and restaurants.

A good base, close to Postojna and Krizna caves. Fully recommend to anyone planning to stay in this area.
