The balcony is huge, and we spent so much time out there looking out at the mountains. (I added 8 bird species to my life list on the Merlin app, just from birdwatching from the balcony!) There's a big living space and kitchenette, and the bedroom/bathroom was very spacious. Ahe only books one group at a time, so we had the whole place to ourselves. She took us for a walk in her village, and everyone was so smiley and kind. It felt like an authentic slice of life, especially compared to our usual touristy hangouts in Bangkok. We rented a car and visited all the local attractions, as well as two national parks. I wasn't sure we could really find enough to do for five days, but it was wonderful.
