It’s so important to have proper communication when travelling and I had that with Arthur (the owner). He was quick to respond and there to help anyway he could. He was kind enough to talk about the area and take me on a tour, which I enjoyed immensely. The tiny home has everything you need and is very comfortable. There’s clean drinking water, an equipped kitchen, an outdoor barbecue and other essentials (like a mini portable washer, beach towels and over the shoulder mini cooler) … the home’s very clean and comfortable and even the resident geckos are super friendly! I found they put a lot of thought into little details inside the cottage. The night sky is unbelievably beautiful and you also have an ocean view in a quiet and safe neighbourhood…I’m looking forward to coming back!

This is an amazing adventure unlike anywhere else we have stayed on the Big Island. The accommodations are rustic and private and make you feel like you are in a jungle setting. When the sun has set, take your glass of wine and sit at the counter in the open air kitchen. The wildlife sounds are captivating. Boasting garden views, Hoomaikai Blessings features accommodation with patio, around 12 km from Lava Tree State Park. A hot tub is available for guests. Everything is perfect. Kelly is the kindest person that we have met! She really cares of everyone! If you want to be happy, come to her house! The breakfast is amazing and completely done herself. Amazing!

Kilauea House is set in Volcano, 18 km from Kilauea, 45 km from Pana'Ewa Rainforest Zoo, as well as 49 km from University Of Hawaii, Hilo. A lot of care is being put into running this place and you as a guest can feel it. The breakfasts in the morning were incredible and private with abundance of breakfast varieties. The hosts are very friendly and easy to contact, they also have good recommendations for the area. There is a small fireplace to enjoy during cold nights. You are very close to the National Park and some restaurants (still driving distance). Arriving before the tour busses can make the national park experience much better. Overall, one of the best experiences we have had. If we would return, it would be to this same place.

Featuring sea views, Kona Magic Honu Room provides accommodation with patio, around 200 metres from White Sands Beach Park. Perfect spot for our first night in Hawaii. Easy to communicate with Mychelle, who was there when we arrived to welcome us and show us the amenities.

Situated in Volcano in the Hawaii Island region, Volcano Eco Cabin & Eco Lodge features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. We stayed in the Eco Cabin. It was very cosy, clean and has everything you need. A great base for the national park (feels secluded but is not too far from things). Highly recommend.
