We liked pretty much everything, the breakfast was fantastic, nothing fried for a change which was great, everything was healthy, we enjoyed it very much. Location of the lodge is also great, hiking is just around the corner or literally just behind the lodge. Then there are the owners who are just an incredible couple, very welcoming, very warm and with great suggestions of what to do in the area. We loved the room, the cleanliness of it, the fact that it was literally sound proof and we couldn't here our next door neighbors. Overall, everything was just perfect!!!

Location was great. It was nice and quiet and no street lights shining in your windows. Very comfortable, wifi and TV worked fine. It was nice to have two sitting chairs in addition to the table and chair or setting on the bed. Refrigerator with small freezer worked great so we were able to keep a couple items in our cooler cold. Coffee pot worked fine.

The room was spacious and clean, very quiet. The bed was comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The check-in/out process was contactless and smooth. We chose The Hungry Trout resort based on location (very close to the skiing hill) and reviews. There is a restaurant and pub next door, very convenient if you don't want to drive to Lake Placid. I think this accommodation is amazing also in the summer - it's close to nature and it has a pool. We will definitely come back.
