With fantastic views of Rothiemurchus Forest and the Cairngorm Mountains, the High Range Lodge Hotel offers spacious rooms with original artwork by local artists. We only stayed there for one night, but we really liked the location (a short hike to buy groceries or shop other things, restaurant/bar next door, four minutes walk to Happy Haggis and the river, hiking trails all around). Location is also perfect if you want to start the morning with visiting Meall a Bhuachaille, Rothiemurchus, Loch Morlich or Loch an Eilein. The staff was professional and friendly, our room was big and light, and very clean, too. Free parking in front of the hotel.

Located in Newtonmore, 300 metres from Newtonmore Golf Club, The Braeriach provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. Our stay here was exceptional. The property has been beautifully restored and updated. All the extras, Highland soaps, home made chocolate cookies. The beds, pillows all comfortable giving us all an excellent sleep. Topped off with freshly cooked delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend, we didnt want to leave!

Situated within 23 km of Abernethy Golf Club and 23 km of Grantown Museum in Tomintoul, Glenlivet by Wigwam Holidays features accommodation with a kitchenette. I'm generally not a person that stays in small huts like this, but I was positively surprised by this one. It isn't the most spaceous, but it was great for the two days we stayed there, and if you're a more wilderness/camping kind of person, I definitely recommend it. The surroundings were lovely woods with some nice walking paths, that especially at night provided some great opportunities for star watching, and the hut itself has a nice little kitchen with everything you need (except maybe an oven, but if you do it right, you can definitely do without that), and a nice and clean shower, the beds were also very comfortable. Every hut also has a fire place outside, and the owners provide firewood upon request, if there is no fire ban at the moment, which can happen if it becomes too dry. I can definitely recommend this if you are looking fora little bit more adventurous stay!

The Shelter Stone Cottage, a property with a garden, is set in Aviemore, 46 km from University of the Highlands and Islands, Inverness, 48 km from Inverness Railway Station, as well as 10 km from... Perfect spot in a great location, and well put together with thoughtful touches. The host, Dorothy, met on us on arrival and was exceptionally kind and friendly, with several recommendations on where to eat and what to do. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the living room was very cozy. Highly recommend!

Located 47 km from Inverness Castle, Avalon Studio. Comfy well equipped cosy studio. Provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. We had a very comfortable stay. The location close to the hub of Aviemore but not in it, was perfect for our needs. We had everything we needed to cook our meals and close enough to restaurants when we didn’t want to.
