Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. It is a Japanese style inn with retro vibes. Their private onsen's water comes from the very hot spring source of Kusatsu and therefore you can experience the hot spring water without going to the public baths if you are shy. We mostly used them at night when the town's baths are closed since the inn's are 24/7 open. I would recommend to book a japanese style room as it has it's tatami and according decoration and together with the inn's yukata (there is an opt for a colorful one and geta to rent) it gives a more japanese experience. We liked that the inn had slippers for going outside which was convenient as the whole town is full with onsens (even ones that are only for feet) and therefore is more convenient to move in slippers. They have a game area with a lot of retro game (even arcade games) and Nintendo SFC System Video Game Console in the rooms. It may not be in the centre of the town (around 10 min walk for either yubatake or Sainokawara Park and open onsen) but is very close to it and also they offer pick up/drop off from the bus terminal. Staff were very friendly and helped with everything we needed. In our next visit to Kusatsu we are definitely staying there!

Set in Minakami, 36 km from Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort, Tanigawa Valley Lodge & Coffee Roastery offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Everything was great. Craig and all the staff were wonderful and made us feel like home. They had great tips for things to do in the area, gave us rides from/to town, and also helped make reservations. The e-bikes made getting around super smooth. Breakfast and coffee every morning were top notch. And finally the lodge itself was spotless and in a super beautiful and peaceful area, with hikes starting pretty much right outside the door

Set in Minakami, 33 km from Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort, Minakami Onsen Aratashi Minakami offers accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a restaurant. The hotel was lovely, free welcome drinks and cakes were very nice to have. We didn't have the breakfast or dinner as we wanted to eat outside but they seemed very good as well.

Located in Kusatsu in the Gunma region, Oyado Yukizumi provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. Close to station. Excellent service and breakfast. Nice onsen.

Offering massage services and mountain view, Kusatsu Hotel Bekkan Wata no Yu (Adult Only) is situated in Kusatsu, 45 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park and 14 km from Mt. Kusatsu Shirane. The food was FANTASTIC!!! the room was excellent, and the service impeccable.but sadly we forgot to eat the complimentary dessert in the fridge.... the Onsen was excellent also would have liked to stay longer.

Offering river views, Minakamisansou is set in the Tanigawa Onsen district of Minakami, 36 km from Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort and 39 km from Naeba Ski Resort. come here 2nd time in 3 months from Thailand, the food, the onsen were great. staffs are very welcome and attentive. pick up - dropped off from Minakami station.

Hanaingen is an adult only accommodation situated in Kusatsu, just a 2-minute walk from Yubatake, or the hot water field in Kusatsu Onsen. From the second we stepped onto the threshold of this hotel, we felt welcomed and super cozy. Although the lady at the reception didn't speak English, she still did her best to explain everything we needed to know about the hotel and the area. We also had complimentary sweets and participated in a small tea ceremony, which was something we, as tourists visiting Japan for the first time, appreciated so much. The place had four private onsen rooms, with all the necessities you might need, such as different shampoos, towels, hairbrushes and cotton pajamas after the bath! Sleeping on the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. Yubatake was 1 minute away from us. The breakfast was delicious. I wish we had stayed there longer!

It was everything we expected and much more! The rooms were impeccable, the pool beautiful and historic, the meals were truly exceptional, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful, the site is historical and it was covered in snow when we arrive. We will definitely recommend it!
