Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. The private onsen was perfect.

Built in 1913, the Kusatsu Hotel exhibits the architectural style of the Japanese Taisho Era. Value for money! Staffs are very much accommodating specially Jericho. Hotel is more than 100 years old but it doesn’t feel like one. So happy we booked this for our very first onsen/ryokan experience.

The room was bright and clean, and the private onsen was amazing. There is a kitchen and a shared space where you can experience a traditional Japanese kotatsu. Everything was great except that the property is located on a hill, so you have to climb to reach nearby places. The road was very slippery on snowy days, and we almost slipped several times. I would not recommend this place for travelers with elderly people or young children.

We had such a wonderful time at Tanigawa Valley Lodge & Coffee Roastery. Staying here felt more like visiting a friend than checking into a lodge. Craig and his family are genuinely lovely… warm, generous, and full of helpful local insights. From day one, Craig helped us plan everything: hiking routes, the best nearby restaurants, even the local swimming spot his family visits daily. He even pointed out interesting local wildlife, which added a special touch to our nature walks. The rooms were super comfortable, breakfast was a delight, and the coffee… well, it lives up to the “roastery” in the name. Truly some of the best we’ve had in Japan. We’re already talking about coming back in winter to experience the area’s skiing. Highly recommended.

Berlokasi di Minakami, Minakami Onsen Aratashi Minakami menyediakan akomodasi dengan balkon pribadi. Hotel staff is friendly and really made us feel at home with their personalised service. We love the Kaiseki dinner, their sets breakfast, and their rooms are equipped with private onsen and it is Modernised and exceptionally clean. Their public onsen is spacious, clean and fully equipped.

Traditional style furnitures but indeed very new and clean! Super nice staff. Small and cozy public bath, not many tourist so some chance u get private bath 😆 Met some cats in the carpark behind.

Kusatsu Hotel Bekkan Wata no Yu (Adult Only) menawarkan layanan pijat dan pemandangan gunung di Kusatsu, 45 km dari Jigokudani Monkey Park dan 14 km dari Gunung Kusatsu Shirane. This hotel made our trip to Kusatsu Onsen extra special and I am so glqd we chose this hotel. First of all, the owner is a very kind, bright, and nice person. She was always most helpful and kind (we would have made a big transport mistake without her help, she even called the bus company to help us find the best route). The rooms were modern Japanese, beautiful, spacious, and clean. There were comfortable yukatas to wear inside as well as ones to wear outside, which allowed us to enjoy touring Kusatsu in yukatas. On the day we arrived there was a delicious macha pudding waiting in the fridge! The amenities were excellent and everything was designed beautifully. The location is very near to everything you might want to see in Kusatsu Onsen while still being in a nice, peaceful spot. The main shopping streets, yubatake, a beautiful park full of hot springs, and so many other things are just a few minutes away. There is an onsen and a sauna at the hotel, the space is soothing, beautiful, and clean. Going to bathe there was a very relaxing way to end the day and really enjoy the onsen water Kusatsu is famous for. In these spaces too the amenities were excellent. We had an excellent experience and would certainly choose this hotel again. And thank you so much again to the very kind owner! :)

Hanaingen is an adult only accommodation situated in Kusatsu, just a 2-minute walk from Yubatake, or the hot water field in Kusatsu Onsen. Super friendly staff and delicious breakfast! I don't know if that is the case for everyone, but I got a different breakfast on the 2 mornings I was there. It's also super close to all the popular locations and the bus station.

Houshi Onsen Chojukan terletak di sepanjang Sungai Houshi, menawarkan pemandian air panas umum, akomodasi bergaya Jepang dengan Wi-Fi gratis, dan masakan Jepang. I loved the building and the peacfull nature of this place. The baths were truly special, especially the open-aired one.
