Right from when I stepped off the plane, they arranged transportation, as well as bookings at restaurants, and shuttles to the ski resort. Communicating via WhatsApp was incredibly helpful and ensured that there were no issues during my stay, which was comfortable every day. The room was immaculately cleaned, and the daily breakfast was delicious. The high-quality interior decor and speakers made even the time spent indoors after skiing very enjoyable. The best part was having a hot spring in the room. Enjoying the hot spring amidst the snowy landscape was an absolute highlight. I will definitely book here again for the next season. The concierge team were truly fantastic and worked great.

Set in Hakuba, 10 km from Tsugaike Kogen Ski Area, Apricot Pension offers accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. It’s so cosy! Clean and big rooms, en suite toilet was well equipped! Went during winter, and the whole cottage was surrounded by snow - such a vibe! Staff was very friendly, breakfast was super delicious! Thanks for the pickup and drop off at the bus station!

The Joint, a property with barbecue facilities, is set in Hakuba, 9.2 km from Tsugaike Kogen Ski Area, 43 km from Nagano Station, as well as 45 km from Zenkoji Temple. The Joint Hakuba was an amazing place to stay, and I couldn’t recommend it enough, especially as a solo traveller. It’s very easy to meet people here, with a great mix of chill and party vibes. While there aren’t organised events, it was super easy to meet people in the dorms and common areas and head out together for food and drinks. The staff were absolutely amazing, super friendly, welcoming, and easy to chat with. They were also really helpful with transport advice, food recommendations, and suggestions for places to ride and visit around Hakuba. The dorms were really nice and well set up. The beds were super comfortable, with plenty of storage under the bunks and privacy curtains, which was a great touch. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. The bathrooms and showers were modern, spacious, and spotless. The common area was also very clean and cosy, and the fireplace at night was a highlight. The location is excellent, super close to Echoland main street with heaps of food and drink options nearby. It’s also very close to multiple bus stops that make getting to all the resorts easy. There’s a short walk to both 7-Eleven and Lawson, a short walk to the main town, and plenty of rental shops close by. Despite being so close to the main street, it was quiet at night and easy to sleep. It wasn’t overcrowded, and the rooms were warm with heaters in both the dorms and common areas. The Joint is perfect for solo travellers, first-timers to Hakuba, and anyone looking for a social stay in a super convenient location. I’d 100% stay here again.
