The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The outdoor private onsen was lovely. We were able to use it 2 times during our short stay without waiting at all. Staff were friendly and helpful, and some even spoke English. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious, and it was so nice to have those planned with the booking.

The design was very nice and cozy, place was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast served everyday and there was free shuttle service taking you to the breakfast and ski locations. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Owner Sano-San is very nice and involved and makes it a welcoming environment.

Hachimantai Heights offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 40 km of Morioka Station and 17 km of Appi Kogen Ski Resort. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. After seeing that we had small children in the room they provided a diaper pail and children's bathing items for our second night stay. Our server for dinner made it a point to greet our children at every chance she had, our family felt very welcome at the establishment.
