Set in Minakami, 36 km from Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort, Tanigawa Valley Lodge & Coffee Roastery offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Everything was great. Craig and all the staff were wonderful and made us feel like home. They had great tips for things to do in the area, gave us rides from/to town, and also helped make reservations. The e-bikes made getting around super smooth. Breakfast and coffee every morning were top notch. And finally the lodge itself was spotless and in a super beautiful and peaceful area, with hikes starting pretty much right outside the door

Set in Kusatsu, 47 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park, La Vista Kusatsu Hills offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. La Vista was perfect with the lovely view of Kosatsu, the beautiful room and private onsen, as well as the various amenities. The staff was amazing and very accommodating. I have no complaints and we’ll be recommending La Vista to your friends and family.

Located in Kusatsu in the Gunma region, Oyado Yukizumi provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. This is the first ever hotel I am giving a 10/10. Honestly was the best stay ive ever had. The location was great, just across from the bus stop. The room was clean and tidy, Yukatas left in room for us to use. The host was so kind and friendly, she even gave us a larger Yukata to wear! The breakfast was an amazing mix of Western meets Japanese, and was delivered to our room for us! She even brought welcome tea and snacks to our room when we arrived as well! Overall, the best hotel stay of our Japan trip so far!

Offering massage services and mountain view, Kusatsu Hotel Bekkan Wata no Yu (Adult Only) is situated in Kusatsu, 45 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park and 14 km from Mt. Kusatsu Shirane. I think this will be one of my best experiences in Japan, everything was perfect! The hotel itself is very charming, the bedroom incredibly beautiful with an amazing view, the bath really nice, had an amazing breakfast and most of all the host was truly amazing. If I come back to Kusatsu, I will definitely come back to this hotel.

Offering river views, Minakamisansou is set in the Tanigawa Onsen district of Minakami, 36 km from Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort and 39 km from Naeba Ski Resort. The staff were excellent, there were limited English speakers but they did their best to make the stay as warm and welcoming as possible which was truly appreciated. Would highly recommend. They also have a shuttle bus that can take you from the nearby station in Minakami town directly to the onsen.

Hanaingen is an adult only accommodation situated in Kusatsu, just a 2-minute walk from Yubatake, or the hot water field in Kusatsu Onsen. We liked everything! Such lovely hospitality! Fabulous breakfast! Really enjoyed the private Onsens! There are 4 that you can use anytime.

Itamuro Onsen Daikokuya offers a sauna and free private parking, and is within 42 km of Shirakawa Station and 43 km of Komine Castle. I was originally interested in this hotel because I read that the Onsen had a Museum full of Kishio Suga's work. I had been following this amazing Japanese artist for a number of years... so that fact was a deciding factor for me. But, the Onsen, the staff, the care that we felt they put into everything they did, the atmosphere of the place, the gardens also designed by Kishio Suga, the delightful guests we had the pleasure of meeting, our room and the food we were served - and let's not forget the tour of the museum! - made me love this place. Itamuro Onsen Daikokuya has history. Someone told us that the Onsen was 500 years old. Most of the Japanese guests we met there went to purely relax. The kind and capable staff take amazing care of all the guests: A Japanese friend in Tokyo told me I should celebrate the Winter Solstice while I was in Nasushiobara. She explained that on that one day, it had always been traditionally celebrated by putting YUZU fruit in Japanese baths and eating something made of pumpkin. I asked the hotel about all this. I really don't think it was part of their plan... but, they did it all: the YUZU in the baths and the specially prepared Pumpkin desserts. It was all to please us, their guests, and make sure our stay was perfect. I was so grateful and felt so pampered and happy. I enjoyed that fruit in the Japanese bath more than you can imagine. So, If you want to relax in a beautiful Onsen with history, go see great art at the. Suga museum, to have a beautiful experience,and be pampered in a very Japanese sort of way...you must come to Itamuro Onsen Daikokuya.
