Situated within 25 km of Maiko Snow Resort and 47 km of Tanigawadake in Minami Uonuma, Urasa Cottage @ Snow Countryside provides accommodation with seating area. This booking was so much more than we expected! As a family of 6, it was wonderful to have so many amenities available. The views all around are stunning- we stopped at Kiyotsu gorge, sightsaw the Uonuma Skyline, took in the mountain reflections in the rice terraces, and stopped at 3 foot baths in the area. They even allowed our dog to stay too! Highly recommend booking Urasa Cottage. Thank you for the hospitality and wonderful stay!

Offering a garden and river view, Noka Minshuku Sanzen is situated in Tokamachi, 24 km from Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort and 47 km from Naeba Ski Resort. We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful, authentic old Japanese home. Its location is perfect for exploring the Echigo-Tsumari Art Festival, and there are plenty of onsens (hot springs) to enjoy nearby.We didn't even use the shower, preferring the onsens! ​The house itself is a hidden gem, a testament to the owners' wonderful aesthetic sense. It's filled with beautiful old and antique Japanese treasures. It is clean, well-maintained, and truly a piece of art in its own right. Above all, the owners were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our visit.

Ideally set in the Ikenotaira Onsen district of Myoko, Yado Brodiaea is situated 31 km from Zenkoji Temple, 33 km from Nagano Station and 43 km from Suzaka City Zoo. The location near the ski bus stop was ideal, the breakfast was a perfect start to each day, and the accommodation was spotless. But what truly set this place apart was the heartfelt hospitality of the hosts. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. They ensured we had all the information regarding transportation. Their generosity extended to offering us rides, making our stay incredibly convenient.

Situated in Myoko, 31 km from Zenkoji Temple and 33 km from Nagano Station, Pension Moomin Papa features accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning, a garden and a shared lounge. Papa took care of us really really well, very cozy, well run lodge. I really enjoyed my time here, especially the onsen after ski! That was amazing.

Offering ski-to-door access and ski storage space, Belle Vue Nishiura is located in Minami Uonuma in the Niigata Region, a 3-minute walk from Ishiuchi-Maruyama Ski Resort. Our host was extraordinary. He took really great care of us. He ran my gloves and googles back to me at Gala when i forgot them in his vehicle (yes, he shuttled us around). Even after we had left his care and went to the train station, he came back and picked me up because my son left his phone at the snowboarding resort. He even got me back in time for the shinkansen. I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience compelled me to. Don't hesitate, this was an awesome boutique hotel experience. He even had all of the snow boarding equipment for us to rent so we didnt have to stand in the Gala yuzawa line. Don't hesitate, book now!!! Aloha

Yuzawa Grand Hotel is within a 2-minute walk from Echigo Yuzawa Train Station and the Sake Museum. It offers 3 public baths, a massage service and free parking on site. The food at breakfast and dinner was varied and exceptional. All of the dishes I tried I liked , and they had a nice variety of western and Japanese. The room we had was huge and very comfortable. The onsen facilities were excellent, and very well kept. We are skiers and this hotel was very well setup for skiers. They have locker rooms for storage as well as changing, and on checkout day you can leave all your luggage , go ski, come back and change and then leave. But what makes this hotel a standout is the staff. I speak limited Japanese but had no issues communicating with the staff either speaking directly to them or using google translate. They are kind, patient and will do anything to help you. On checkout day, we went skiing and came back at 11:30 and needed to use the courier service taqubin which is conveniently located inside the hotel gift shop. However, we failed to notice beforehand that the shop takes a close break from 11:30 until 3:30 and our train leaves at 3;15. We were very stressed but the lady who runs the store and handles the courier said no problem, she would stay open just for us and give us time to change out of our ski clothes ,repack our ski gear and come back. It took us longer than we thought to repack and change because we had some trouble locating the ski bag as it was behind the counter in long storage. It didn’t matter, she still waited and when we finally finished she patiently helped us with the forms and everything was handled . When we left again for the station we had some time to wait so we purchased some small sweets and went back to give them to the staff as a thank you for all their exceptional efforts and help with our stay . They seemed genuinely surprised and happy and then walked out to wave us goodbye! How nice and a great happy surprise for us! We cannot recommend this hotel enough and we will be back someday.

Featuring 10 uniquely designed hot spring baths, Shosenkaku Kagetsu provides Japanese-style accommodation just a 5-minute walk from JR Echigo Yuzawa Train Station. The facilities are great! It’s just a few minutes walk from the station, the staff is super attentive, the food is delicious and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Totally worth it!
