Situated within 25 km of Maiko Snow Resort and 47 km of Tanigawadake in Minami Uonuma, Urasa Cottage @ Snow Countryside provides accommodation with seating area. I’ve been staying at Urasa Cottage for a couple of days, and I must say I truly felt at home. The host is very friendly, and the house is quite new and clean. It’s also not too far from the station. I already miss it ❤️ I’ll be back soon~

Offering a garden and river view, Noka Minshuku Sanzen is situated in Tokamachi, 24 km from Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort and 47 km from Naeba Ski Resort. This place is magical. We've been to Japan a few times and this was one of our favourite stays ever. We stayed in the beautifully restored guest house and enjoyed an amazing Japanese breakfast in the main house every morning. The owners are a wonderful and incredibly generous family, who went above and beyond and even drove us to local restaurants and a great onsen. As we didn't have a car, we went on a hugely enjoyable tour of the Echigo-Tsumari Art Field with the lovely and very knowledgable Nobu. Huge thanks to Nobu and her family for looking after us and making us feel so welcome.

Ideally set in the Ikenotaira Onsen district of Myoko, Yado Brodiaea is situated 31 km from Zenkoji Temple, 33 km from Nagano Station and 43 km from Suzaka City Zoo. Yado Brodiaea was such a lovely stay for us. The guesthouse is very clean, homey, and incredibly cozy! We can immediately feel the warmth the moment we step inside. It really feels like a home away from home. Nobu-san and his wife are the heart of this place. Their service is beyond amazing! They’re genuinely kind, thoughtful, and attentive. Nobu-san didn’t just offer us a ride to the ski resort; he personally drove us to the ski rental shop, waited until we were fully ready, and even picked us up after our entire day of skiing. He also kindly sent us to the train station when we were leaving, which made our departure so smooth and stress-free. That level of care made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. Another big plus is the nearby onsen at the resort, a perfect way for us to relax after a full day on the slopes. The guesthouse also offers ski pass discounts, which is a huge bonus. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ There are a few nice cafés nearby as well at the visitor center, Nagomi, and the nearby hotel, so you still have good options within reach. It’s a bit of a walk to and from the bus stop and some restaurants, but we didn’t mind at all since we enjoy walking (just something to note if you’re carrying heavy luggage). Overall, Yado Brodiaea offers not just comfort, but heartfelt hospitality. We would absolutely stay here again. 🤩

We loved everything about our stay! Our hosts welcomed us with exceptional hospitality and helped us solved any problems. The onsen was the perfect way to end each day.

Offering ski-to-door access and ski storage space, Belle Vue Nishiura is located in Minami Uonuma in the Niigata Region, a 3-minute walk from Ishiuchi-Maruyama Ski Resort. My friend and I had an absolutely fantastic time staying at this hotel. It's a family establishment run by Satoshi and his wife, along with their two small children, with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the location can't be beat with a five minute walk to the Ishiuchi Maruyama gondola. Satoshi and his wife were incredibly kind hosts, providing me and my friend with pick-up from Echigo Yuzawa Station (multiple times since we arrived and departed at different times!) as well as transportation to Maiko Ski Resort. They also rented out snowboarding gear and provided breakfast for extremely reasonable prices. I would recommend this place 10 times out of 10 and have every intention of returning myself in the near future.　サトシさん、誠にありがとうございます！

Yuzawa Grand Hotel is within a 2-minute walk from Echigo Yuzawa Train Station and the Sake Museum. It offers 3 public baths, a massage service and free parking on site. Yuzawa Grand hotel gave us the best Japan cultural immersion experience. Our room had both the western style bed but with Japanese tatamis and spare futons. This has been the highlight of our Japan trip as we experienced eating oranges in a low Japanese table, sleep in futons, experience the amazing Onsens Hot springs both indoor and outdoor. The hotel is very engaging, clean, accommodating-- i cannot praise it enough. It is also in this hotel that we tried sukiyaki for the first time and many amazing dishes and seafood in both their breakfast and dinner offers. We would really love to visit again in a few years time hopefully:)

Featuring 10 uniquely designed hot spring baths, Shosenkaku Kagetsu provides Japanese-style accommodation just a 5-minute walk from JR Echigo Yuzawa Train Station. The onsen was awesome. Room was large.
