Offering barbecue facilities and mountain view, Sachinoyu Hotel Shiga Kogen is situated in Yamanouchi, 19 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park and 28 km from Ryuoo Ski Park. A thoroughly excellent hotel with kind staff and good facilities. It's located minutes away from the Yokoteyama area which is great for all skiing abilities. The hotel itself is a ways away from other locations so it's definitely on the quieter side. The staff here are exceptional, easy going, and attentive. We built a ski jump out the front of the hotel and they were absolutely fine with it, not many places would let you do that in my experience. The snowmobiling tour was great, the food was excellent, and Sachi is very cute.

Situated 3 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park, Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya offers accommodation in Yamanouchi with access to a hot spring bath. The host is very friendly and he looked after his guest very well. We were picked up from train station on arrival and dropped off on departure. We got a ride to the snow monkey park entrance at the time suit us. The property is amazing, the bedding is comfortable, room is warm and spacious, there is hot water, tea and treats on the tea table. I used the private onsen everyday! What I like the most is the traditional breakfast and dinner, it’s an exceptional dining experience.

A 5-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Tawaraya offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Very tranquil atmosphere. Cozy and beautifully kept ryokan with a gorgeous outside bath available for private use. This is an especially nice place for a couple. The staff are kind and helpful and they speak English.

Minshuku Miyama provides a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 3.6 km of Jigokudani Monkey Park and 13 km of Ryuoo Ski Park. Very clean and authentic. The rooms were very nice, the owners provides yukatas as well. The location is superb - a short walk to the Snow Monkey Park - you can also arrange a transport with the owners without extra charge. The outside onsen is beautiful. Even though some things are older I do not mind that as everything was very well taken care of and clean.

At Daymaruya Ryokan, guests can enjoy hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese-style accommodations with free wired internet access. Wonderful and caring couple owner. Very grateful he picked us up from the train station and sent us to the snow monkey park. During our 3 days stay we ordered breakfast and it was very delicious and nicely presented in Bento by his wife. The place is very clean.
