I Yamagata, 17 kilometer fra Zao Hotsprings Skianlegg, ligger Daiwa Roynet Hotel Yamagata Ekimae, som har et treningsstudio, privat parkering og massasje. Easy location near Yamagata Station, nice clean rooms and facilities, great amenities, 7-11 right downstairs, staff was great and friendly Everything about this hotel is made to be easy for the traveler. We didn’t include breakfast in our stay as it was for 6 nights but did buy tickets for one morning and it was delicious for a reasonable price

Takasagoya Ryokan ligger i Zao Onsen. Dette 3-stjerners ryokanet har en restaurant i tillegg til rom med klimaanlegg, gratis WiFi og felles bad. A friend and I stayed there during one week-end. It was a very good experience. The room is quite large and very clean. The highlight of this stay was for sure the dinner. The food was delicious, made with high quality products and with a large selection of different dishes. The owners were very nice with us. If you want to have an experience in a traditionnal family owned ryokan, I highly recommend to stay there :) It is exactly the kind of place that I hope will still exist in some years!

I Zao Onsen, 1 minutters gange fra Zao Hotsprings Skianlegg, ligger Matsupokkuri, som har gratis WiFi og gratis privat parkering. Dette 2-stjerners ryokanet har oppbevaringsplass for skiutstyr. Location was excellent. So close to the bus station. Easy walk to the onsens and restaurants and ski slopes. The hosts were so kind and helpful.

Amazing free breakfast! Awesome dinner choices! Friendly staff and helpful! Quick pick up with nice car type snowmobiles from tram! Amazing scenery! Beautiful old hotel! Can get to snow lift easy so close.

Located within a 10-minute walking distance from the Zao Sky Cable aerial lift, Miyamaso Takamiya features 9 natural hot spring baths for guests to enjoy. Friendly staff, excellent meals, traditional ryokan with full of histories!!!

Pension Puutaro ligger i Zao Onsen, med Zao Hotsprings Skianlegg bare 6 minutters gange unna. Overnattingsstedet har en hage, røykfrie rom, gratis WiFi over hele overnattingsstedet og en restaurant. Kaiko, the owner, was absolutely fantastic. Nothing was too hard and constantly went the extra mile for our large group of 12. Food was fabulous, position fantastic and we will definitely be back.

Guesthouse Mintaro Hut ligger bare 18 kilometer fra Zao Hotsprings Skianlegg, i Yamagata. Dette 1-stjernes gjestgiveriet har rom med klimaanlegg, felles bad og gratis WiFi. Everything is beautiful from the moment we arrived till we left. The culture at this guesthouse is what im looking for at every guesthouse.

Only a 1-minute walk from Zao Onsen Ski Resort, Zao Kokusai Hotel offers indoor/outdoor spacious hot-spring baths and Japanese-style rooms. The hotel, staff, and onsen were all amazing. The hotel is located right next to the ski slope, and the breakfast had a massive variety. Onsen were clean and well maintained. Overall, it's an amazing hotel we will be back.
