The hotel is perfectly located near the central station, restaurants and a supermarket. Our room was clean, quiet and had a nice view of the city of Yamagata. The staff at the reception was very friendly and they helped us with every request we had. :) We really appreciated that we didn’t have to change our room even though we extended our stay with a second booking. We definitely wouldn’t hesitate to book again. :)

The owner was very friendly and told us where to go for lunch and dinner and the food there was fabulous as well! The drink at the bar was very tasty as well. Moreover, the owner offered Nintendo Switch with various games. The best thing the owner gave me was two cans of Dr. Pepper for my birthday present. That was a good treat from him!

Zao Onsen şehrinde, Yamagata bölgesinde bulunan Takasagoya Ryokan tesisi, Zao Hotsprings Ski Resort noktasına 200 m mesafededir. The staff was very kind, as expected from a family owned ryokan. The bath area is small, but you schedule your personal bath time. Food is incredible, a must try when visiting Zao. Location is near the main attractions, like the cable car is reachable by walking. Lots of nearby onsens.

Zao Hotsprings Ski Resort noktasına 3,1 km mesafede yer alan Forest Inn Sangoro tesisi restoran, bahçe, ortak oturma alanı ve teras olanaklarına sahip bir konaklama imkanı sunar. Cozy vibe for snow lovers. Staff are very friendly and responsive.

Zao Sky Teleferiği'ne 10 dakikalık yürüme mesafesindeki Miyamaso Takamiya, konukların keyfini çıkarabileceği 9 doğal kaplıca banyosuna sahiptir. Excellent all around. Amazing food and kind staff who were very attentive and accomodating. Hertiage buikding was an amazing serene setting for a holiday.

Yamagata şehrinde yer alan Guesthouse Mintaro Hut tesisi, Zao Hotsprings Ski Resort noktasına 18 km mesafededir. Dinner was a magical buffet that just kept coming.

Zao Onsen Kayak Merkezi'ne sadece 1 dakikalık yürüme mesafesinde yer alan Zao Kokusai Hotel, açık/kapalı geniş kaplıca banyoları ve Japon tarzı odalar sunmaktadır. The location was absolutely breathtaking, we visited in autumn but I'm already planning my next visit for winter! The staff were so lovely and accommodating, not everyone spoke perfect english but they make a genuine effort to make us feel welcome none the less. I loved the onsen, we used the private and public facilities and found them so relaxing. We ate in the restaurant every morning and once for dinner, the food was so well done and we loved getting a taste of the local cuisine. Seriously 10/10 its not the cheapest stay but it is worth the price.

Zao Hotsprings Ski Resort noktasına 2,3 km mesafede bulunan Yamagata Zao Pension Apron Stage tesisi, Kaminoyama şehrinde 3 yıldızlı konaklama imkanı sunar ve tesiste bahçe, teras ile restoran olanağı... This is a great pension run by a lovely family. The husband picked us up at the bus station and drove us to the pension and also took us to the slopes in the morning. They gave us a coupon for renting gear and a map explaining the different onsen options around town. Their English is pretty limited, but they are happy to use Google translate. Also, it was not a big deal, but I think it is important for foreign guests to be aware that ski culture in Japan sort of assumes you are eating dinner at your accommodation. We did not know this and did not book dinner at the hotel. Most restaurants in town were fully booked with reservations (although there is a convenience store with good takeaway food), so try to book dinner at the hotel or make a dinner reservation somewhere well in advance. We were very luck and managed to make a reservation at the Mongolian lamb place Kasheru for the second night and that was amazing. But we saw restaurants turning people away repeatedly because everywhere in town was full. Also, the family will not pick you up by car any later that 6:45 pm (perfectly reasonable) and the public ski shuttles don't run on weekdays, so you need to pre-book a taxi if dinner will end later than that (which it probably will since most restaurants open at 6 pm). And there are not a lot of taxis and no Uber. I wish I had realized all of this up front, but that was our own ignorance and our stay was great regardless. Again, this is just the local ski culture and not the hotel's fault. It's just helpful information for future guests.

Zao Hotsprings Ski Resort noktasına yalnızca 16 km mesafede yer alan WAVILLA mihata cho tesisi; bahçe ve teras olanaklarına erişimin yanı sıra ortak mutfak olanağı ile Yamagata şehrinde konaklama... The house is a traditional, cute, cosy Japanese home, we had a lovely time staying for 3 days and I’m amazed with how thoroughly the owner had prepared the property before we arrive. There was diffuser at the entrance, which made the house smells so lovely. Nice branded shampoo and shower gel, Dyson hair dryer and a vacuum cleaner ( definitely highlight of the place) very comfortable bed sets and pillows. Oh, we loved the blanket/ table set, it was such a clever invention to have a giant electric blanket in the living room under the table to keep us warm while watching a movie over the projector. Overall it was absolutely amazing for anyone who wants to experience traditional Japanese living style.
