Summit Lofts Boutique Hotel is offering accommodation in Mount Shasta. Featuring a shared lounge, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. No interaction was needed with anyone during check-in and out as they had a very efficient digital system in place but you can tell the owners have put a lot of heart and soul into the building. The room was spacious and finished to a really high standard, including the bathroom. We had the room at the end so had a beautiful view out onto Mt Shasta. Great café under the hotel is also worth a visit for some pastries before heading out to explore. They also had some good suggestions for food. We went to Yak Shack which was just in the process of being rebranded to Drizzle and that is worth a visit if you like a burger!

Featuring 5-star accommodation, South Lake Chalet by Heavenly is set in South Lake Tahoe, less than 1 km from Lakeside Beach and 1.9 km from Tahoe Queen. When we arrived, there was some urgent construction underway to improve the units. While this caused a bit of disruption to our stay, we decided to check out a day early and informed the team. To our surprise, they took the initiative to contact Booking.com on our behalf and arranged a refund for the final night. On top of that, they offered us an additional $50 as a gesture of goodwill. They weren’t obligated to do any of this, and it truly reflects their commitment to excellent service. What could have been a disappointing experience was completely turned around by their responsiveness and care. The hosts were quick to respond to any queries, the location is fantastic, and the rooms are comfortable. At the end of the day, it all comes down to service—and in this regard, they truly excelled.

The property is amazing - looks lite it came out of a fairy tale. The people are very polite and friendly. The breakfast was absolutely the best we ever had in any hotel, in the US or abroad. Looking forward to coming here again!

I loved everything about the apartment and the little touches that our hosts made the effort to provide. I appreciate the instructions that got us safely to the address, the breakfast that was waiting in the fridge, the movie channels (!) and just how clean everything was!
