Nice atmosphere and host. Good facilities available. Parking is available. Staff always helpful and friendly. I forgot some items in the room. And hotel management were nice enough to ship the items to Manchester the same day.

Stunningly set accommodation, beautiful gardens and surroundings which adds so much charm- especially with all the bunnies and wildlife around. The hotel itself had a lot of character, the room had plenty space, a bath and a roof terrace. There wasn’t one member of staff that wasn’t warm and friendly with us which again, really helps to feel at home. The spa being included was really the cherry on top. Indoor and outdoor pool as well as sauna, jacuzzi and steam. It was hard to pack up and leave the next day!

Originally a coaching inn dating back to 1770, Lake District Castle Inn Hotel & Spa is now a modern venue with views of Bassenthwaite Lake.

Spa Cottage is located in Braithwaite, just 4.5 miles from Derwentwater and 7.8 miles from Buttermere. Both free Wifi and parking on-site are available at the vacation home free of charge.
