The hotel offers plenty of outdoor space alongside your bedroom and shared bathrooms. The bedroom was secure and reasonably spacious. The fan was effective however opening the door was the best way to cool the room as you tried to cool down before bed. The bathrooms are ‘no frills’ but effective. The kitchen now serves basic breakfasts from 6.30am for cQ30. There are restaurants and bars in other nearby hotels.
Really nice homestay, Mary and her family were so friendly and helpful and offered a number of tours to Semuc Champey for very reasonable prices. The room itself was very comfortable and cool at nighttime. There was lots of space outside to relax. The restaurant offered really nice food for very reasonable prices from breakfast-dinner. Really good value for money. Thank you!
We had a great time in Vista Verde!
Cosy and clean cabanas were equiped with handy mosquito nets, we also enjoyed view of the green hills in front of our casita.
Another great this was the kitchen - we really enjoyed their breakfasts.
There is also swimming pool and relax zone with hammocks.
Location is amazing right next to the river. The room was very spacious and comfy. They organize one day tours to semuc with caves and tubing, it was a good deal.
The hostel is run by very friendly and helpful staff, and the tour to Semuc Champey with David was lots of fun, and was smaller and more exclusive than other larger groups we saw.
It’s well located in Lanquin, and has a small restaurant for breakfast and dinner which is decent and reasonably priced.
The free pick up from the shuttle drop off point when we arrived was a bonus!
Loved my stay here. Felt like I was staying at a resort. As a solo traveler this was the best place to relax for a couple of days. Staff was really nice and helpful, food was good, volunteers really nice and loved my tent. It was spacious enough and not hot at all during the night.
Good central location in town near to the market and shops. Friendly and helpful staff organised my transport to Semuc Champey & onward shuttle to Flores at reasonable prices. on-site restaurant serves up basic but decent breakfast & dinner (extra) at reasonable prices. Private rooms with a fan were comfortable at night and not too hot. Nice communal space to relax on the roof terrace.
Incredible stay with Maria, Luis, David, Olga and Family. They are so friendly and helpful, it is a proper family run business with Olga’s restaurant next door serving tasty, food value food, I went there every day for breakfast and dinner! The rooms are basic, but super clean but there is everything you need. There’s a nice little garden to relax in and a shop onsite for essentials (like beer ;)) Loved my stay, would totally recommend Casa Mary to anyone!
The whole family at Casa Mary could not be more friendly. They made us feel at home instantly. They were there to pick us up from our bus and helped us arrange our onward travel. The accommodation is basic as expected, which adds to the whole charm of the place. We felt so relaxed enjoying the garden space in the evenings and the food was delicious. We did the Semuc Champey tour with David and we were the only two that day. He managed to take us to all the spots whilst avoiding the big crowds and he was so fun and enthusiastic.
