We arrived by car and were able to park right outside the front door. Immediately a young man came out to help us with our luggage. As you enter the huge lobby you can see the amazing views. Carolina on reception was so welcoming and charming. Lovely room with a balcony, incredible views and a machine providing filtered water. Fabulous breakfast, again with great views! Perfect location, easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Clean rooms, beautiful design and artwork, the owners are so nice and helpful. Outstanding view of the city from the room, but very quiet because it is on a hill 5 minutes from town. They have the most sweet and friendly cat. The breakfast was outstanding, everything fresh and delicious- it was breakfast and lunch together. Eguardo speaks excellent English. Just stay here!

Set on the shores of Llanquihue lake and boasting stunning lake and volcano views, the recently-built Hotel AWA offers luxurious accommodation with free WiFi access in Puerto Varas. Property is stunning with incredible views. The room is absolutely beautiful with a fireplace, huge shower and soaking tub. Spa services were amazing.

To be clear, a few things were good: the food, the cocktails, the gardens, the quiet beach, and the lake view. The staff was polite, although communication in English was difficult. We were also allowed to check in one hour early, even if it was in a twin room instead of the double room we had actually booked. That is where the positives end.

They were wonderful hosts. We arrived late and tired and were able to order a delicious soup and salad meal on short notice. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and stylish (and of course clean). The private hot tub, looking out over the trees was great. Breakfast by the fire was a great start to the day. We got a great tip where to eat out on the next night and had one of the best meals of our trip. On our last day Gloria took us on an excursion to Dalcahue and then to Parque Meular, which is not even open to the public yet. It was a priviledge. We also enjoyed talking to Gloria and Jose-Louis late into the night to discover the similarities and differences between Germany and Chile and many other topics. WE fehlt totally at home.

The Andes is an outdoor lodge located nearby Puelo River, Cochamó. Among the various facilities are a garden, a terrace, as well as a shared lounge. The hotel has a hot tub and entertainment staff. Sabina and her staff were world class and made us feel like the lodge was our home!
