The private garden with view on the mountains, enjoying the ofurno, delicious breakfast… it was all amazing. The hosts are extremely kind and helpful, it was a pleasure to be their guests! Situated a short drive from central Vitoria, this complex is well located for the road to Bilbao and the airport. It has free Wi-Fi and a pillow menu in all rooms. Breakfast was great, good coffee, pleasant surroundings, good food, friendly people.

This design hotel is in Villabuena de Álava, in the La Rioja Alavesa Wine Region. There is free WiFi, free public parking and a rooftop terrace with views of the Sierra de la Cantabria Mountains. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Loved the wine list and we particularly loved the Cove they have with a Jacuzzi for a romantic evening. Loved the ambiance and how the hotel seems like new, even though I visited over 10 years ago.

The stunning Hotel Marqués de Riscal, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Elciego, is located in Elciego, in La Rioja’s Álava province. The building is a work of art worth visiting and seeing in daylight and especially at night. The overnight stay is a must! We enjoyed the included winery tour with wine tasting and huge breakfast the next day. For dinner we decided to try the Non-Michelin restaurant and its extraordinary tasting menu.
