Catalonia Magdalenes Hotel is set in Barcelona, 200 metres from the Cathedral of Barcelona and offers a terrace with an outdoor pool with views of the Cathedral and a spa. I chose Hotel Catalonia Magdalenes after reading great reviews on TripAdvisor and seeing its high rating of 9 on Booking.com. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome—especially Bruno, who greeted my family and me with genuine warmth. We also had the pleasure of meeting Alfredo, who was very helpful in guiding us around the city and even recommended a lovely local bakery. Adam and Paula were always cheerful and greeted us with a smile every time we passed by, which added a nice personal touch to our stay. The hotel’s location is perfect—central and convenient—and the cleanliness throughout the property was excellent. However, the rooms were a bit on a small in size. Overall, it was a lovely stay with outstanding service. We’d definitely consider coming back!

The beds were super comfortable and we could walk to loads of main attractions from this location.

We received great assistance with parking — convenient and reasonably priced at €12 per night. The staff were very friendly and truly cared about their guests, always cooperative and ready to help with whatever we needed. The restaurant was definitely 5-star quality, offering a wide variety of dishes and a delicious breakfast. It’s absolutely worth including dinner in your reservation! A special mention to Lourdes, the hotel manager — she was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon even more memorable. Her warmth and hospitality truly made a difference in our stay.
