Our stay at Gáldu was truly magical, from the moment we arrived we were met with such a warm welcome. The staff were so accommodating and friendly, they taught us about Finish and Sami culture which was brilliant. Our room was spotless and had the most amazing views of the forest. The Gáldu team organised excursions for us to do which were fantastic (snowmobiling, ice fishing, husky sledding) and gave us other suggestions about what to do on the days we didn’t have anything booked. The food was exceptional and we went for full board, we were truly spoiled by each person we met. Our beds were so comfortable and we had the most amazing sleep each night. We spent every afternoon enjoying the spa which was extremely luxurious. They really made our trip so special. The hotel is the perfect viewing spot for the northern lights, we saw them so clearly from our bedroom on the last night.

Heating was excellent in the apartment and the Sauna as well. Drying cabinet and the sleds were quite useful. Communication with the Owner Meeri and Maintenance guy, Marko was excellent. Meeri's handbook was useful too.

The house is spacious, the living is beautiful and the kitchen has all the utensils you need (cutting boards, pans and pots,…).

Located a 15-minute drive from central Saariselkä, this hotel features rooms with mountain views of Kiilopää or Ahopää. It offers free sauna access and a relaxation room with a library and fireplace. A very cozy and atmospheric house! Our kids absolutely loved the bed, and we enjoyed the sauna—it smells wonderfully of wood. Everything was perfect, and we’d love to stay here again!

The heating works very well, the beds are comfortable and the blankets are warm. The floors are heated and there are additional radiators in each room. There is also a clear instruction on how to start the fireplace. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking, and there is a large refrigerator. Everything was simply wonderful! The hosts replied quickly and were always very helpful and responsive. There is a transfer from Ivalo Airport that drops you off right on the street where the house is located. It’s also very convenient that there is a drying cabinet where you can dry your clothes after being out in the snow. The supermarket is about a 15-minute walk from the house. We would be happy to stay here again! The area is very quiet and peaceful — a perfect place to relax and unwind.
