Lots of space and storage, plenty kitchen utensils. Very close to slopes. Also there is an option to use hotel facilities if needed. We found our stay comfortable. It was easy to get in touch with a host. Host was very helpful and responded promptly to my messages.

Situated in Äkäslompolo, 41 km from Kolari Train Station, Arctic Skylight Lodge features accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. We spent one night in late March at Arctic Skylodge and it was magical. The cabin was warm, the bed was incredibly comfortable and we saw a little bit of aurora activity! So nice that you don’t have to go outside to see them. You can see the entire sky from the glass cabin. Breakfast was delicious and they also have gluten free options. We unfortunately didn’t get to have dinner here as the chef was unwell. But we did get a good tip from the receptionist to eat at Los Lompolo’s - a mix of Finnish and Mexican cuisine. It was delicious (get the churros!).

Staff super nice and friendly and gave us extra checkout time complementary. The spa was a nice addition to the trip and the breakfast was good too.
