This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. The rooms were large and beautifully decorated. It had all the amenities you would expect in a high end hotel. The views out our room of the golf course were lovely. The included breakfast was a typical European buffet with all the variety you would expect. The hotel is not really near anything, so you are going there to enjoy that property. And there is much to enjoy. We wished we could have stayed there longer.

In 1,300 acres of country estate, the luxurious Farnham Estate Spa and Golf Resort has a spa with an outdoor infinity pool, forest walkways and an 18-hole golf course. Cavan Town is 3 km away. Our server at breakfast, Mary, was absolutely charming and nothing was too much trouble for her. She made the trip even more memorable. The walks were spectacular and the grounds were just too beautiful. Worth every penny!

I've stayed in a lot of places and this was easily the best. The host Niamh had thought of everything, from the lovely gift basket including various types of biscuits, chocolates, crisps (including monster munch!), to any type of utensil or cooking equipment. It was all there. No to forget a nice log fire inside, fireplace outside and of course a great hot tub & sauna (we didn't try but that looked to be in top notch.) The location and scenery was exquisite and the house was absolutely clean. We all loved it for the weekend.

Sabina and David were so lovely and could not do enough for us to make our stay fantastic. I happened to tell Sabina it was our anniversary and when we arrived at our accommodation, Sabina had a bottle of bubbly on ice to celebrate. We also had our dog Bear with us and she was allowed to go everywhere. Not something you will find in a 'dog friendly' hotel. Do yourself and that someone special in your life a favour and book this place. You will not be sorry. Until next time Sabina and David!
