Aquatio Cave Luxury Hotel & SPA is situated inside the Matera Sassi UNESCO World Heritage site. Featuring a on-site restaurant and free WiFi, the hotel is located 400 metres from MUSMA Museum. The location was tricky to get to, but that is not the hotel's fault. They are accessible only by foot due to the way the ancient town was built. I received excellent recommendations from the hotel about parking for our rental car. There is a secure parking building about 15 minutes walk away that cost 20 euro per day, although this is not the only option. The reception staff were excellent and organised for our luggage to be taken to our room - much appreciated considering the cobbled paths around the hotel. The room was large, quiet and well appointed. The included continental breakfast was adequate and the spa facilities were a nice addition.

Featuring a bar, Vetera Matera is located in Matera in the Basilicata region, 500 metres from Palombaro Lungo and 300 metres from Matera Cathedral. We absolutely loved our stay at Vetera Matera. We had a very late arrival, around 11pm, and the staff were beyond accomodating. Our transfer shuttle met us at the packing garage and the communication was seemless. Giovanni was at reception upon check in, and was an absolute delight. Francesco was also very helpful, with wine and snacks ready when requested even at such a late arrvial time. Both were so proud of the hotel and the area, full of great tips and lots of history about the hotel and the area. Our room was amazing, we had a terrace which was so great to see the view late at night. The breakfast was lovely too, and we were sad we were only there for one night! Can not recommend this hotel enough. A great location to discover the town, with the friendliest of staff! (Fillipe who carried our bags up and down those stairs and drove us back to our car was amazing as well).

Attractively situated in the Sassi di Matera district of Matera, MOYSEION Matera - Immersion in a distant past is situated 600 metres from Palombaro Lungo, 500 metres from Matera Cathedral and 700... The experience was great. The hype is real for those that like to immerse in history. + The attention to details in the rooms, the dedication to the authenticity (like electrical lights are hidden with wood) is remarkable. + The room we booked had a great view of the town. Comfy beds. + We stayed during Christmas and the pool and spa baths in the caves were toasty warm. + The daily rituals (symposium with snacks and wine, the water ritual) are phenomenal and well done. + Breakfast was unique as well, all in the ancient style. + Free shuttle from the parking garage outside of the center as well (not far) + Very friendly staff

Featuring a bar and views of city, Dimora Del Corso is a guest house situated in a historic building in Rotonda, 48 km from La Secca di Castrocucco. Great breakfast and a very nice staff. Beautiful town and a great starting point for Del Pollino.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, LUX LUCIS is situated in Matera. From the room to the actual space, to the cleanliness and the attention to details, everything was perfect. Absolutely nothing wrong with the apartment, the owner even had a bottle of prosecco for us ready. Simply amazing.

Ideally located in the Sassi di Matera district of Matera, Cenobio Hotel & SPA Matera is set less than 1 km from Palombaro Lungo, a 3-minute walk from Matera Cathedral and 400 metres from MUSMA... Amazing experience! The whole atmosphere of being in a cave made our stay memorable. The room is big, very comfortable, super clean, modern and well equipped. Beds and shower were great. The view is superb! It is well located. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Tatiana and Samir did everything to make us feel home. The breakfast has great variety and all super fresh food!

Located in Lavello, 20 km from Castle of Melfi, Moma Hotel Wellness & Spa provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a bar. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The AC was cold and the WiFi fast. We were able to park our car in a lot in front of the hotel or in the underground garage. Best of all, the staff was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend!
