Established in 1936, Nagoya Kanko Hotel is located in the downtown area of Sakae and offers rooms with free wired internet, a fitness centre and a beauty salon. The best hotel I have ever visited in Japan during my 25 business trips to Japan.

There is a train station next to the property, a Lawson convenience store one block away, and several trendy clothing stores around the corner. You can easily walk north to the buzzy Nishiki area and Oasis 21/museums, and southwest to the Osu Shotengai Shopping Street. One evening I made a reservation for the hotel’s warm pool, steam room, onsen, and sauna. It was extremely relaxing and the facilities were fantastic. They even have swim suits to borrow for free. The hotel room itself was very impressive, including a nice view of the city with floor to ceiling windows. The bathroom is spacious and featured heated floors. I will stay at this hotel again.

Well situated in the centre of Nagoya, Kuretake Inn Nagoya Hisayaodori offers 3-star accommodation close to Oasis 21 and Nagoya Castle. Everything was good. The staff, the room, the bed. The room is little tiny but it's ok. They have a welcome drink that serves alcool in a short time of the day.
