After a lot of hectic cities, we came to a full relaxation after the complimentary footbaths, private onsen, 5 course dinner specially adjusted for my pregnant wife. Looking out to sea from the room, a tiny tori gate in the distance. It was like heaven.

The ryokan has family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. The staff was exceptionally professional and friendly. The room was cozy and offered a beautiful view. The dinner was delicious and beautifully presented and portions were generous. The hotel did not forget the two dishes we added when we booked the hotel. The added dishes of fried sea bream bones and the braised fish head were nicely prepared and were very good value for money. The quality of the dishes was superb. Most enjoyable and relaxing stay. I wish I had time for one more night! Must come back.

The hotel is close to several noted attractions, around 1 km from Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, 600 metres from Hiroshima Museum of Arts and 700 metres from Shukkeien. The hotel offers a sauna and a 24-hour front desk. The buffet breakfast was served in a restaurant with sweeping views of Hiroshima and the surrounding Hills. The breakfast was also sumptuous (though as a vegetarian, I only had the vegetarian options). The Baths/Spa was excellent (though frequently crowded) with a Sauna and an Outdoor Bath overlooking the City. The room was the right size (and rather large by Japanese budget standards). The bathroom was a bit small though (but standard Japanese budget hotel size). The location was close to the Hatchobori Tram Station and indeed within walking distance of the Atomic Bomb Dome. It really is great value for money. I wished I stayed a day longer just to rest and recuperate in this Hotel after running all around Honshu Island in the two weeks previously!

Each room has an original mattress optimising weight distribution and a private bathroom with a high-tech toilet and a hairdryer. Really comfortable room, all the amenities you would need. Take the bus 10mins to the river saves the legs. Staff were very helpful we had organised our luggage to be sent to our next destination but had to change the address the lady helped us contact our drop off in Tokyo. We got our bags sorted

The hotel also provides a business centre, travel desk and concierge services. I had an exceptional stay in this Hotel. The services are great, personal is impeccable, breakfast was amazing. The hot springs were a great value. And the room had a great sea view! Even though is it far from the train station, there is a free shuttle bus.

During the summer, guests can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool and Beer Terrace on the Seaside Deck. Aki Grand also has a public hot spring bath and sauna. Guests can reserve a private open-air hot spring bath with Itsukushima Shrine views. Activities at the hotel include a night cruising tour of the World Heritage Sites. We booked the room with a sea view and got a good view of the Itsukushima Jinja torii on Miyajima. The room was well equipped and had yukata and other necessities provided for a great onsen experience. The public baths were good, and we also booked the private onsen for 45 minutes in the evening and got to enjoy complete privacy and comfort and a magnificent full moon over Miyajima while soaking in the natural spring water - probably the best onsen experience we've had in Japan so far! The traditional Japanese dinner was a superb nine-course affair and although breakfast was a buffet style, we still got all the traditional Japanese dishes as well. The hotel lobby, lounge, terrace and other public areas were nicely designed and all the staff were very helpful.

Dormy Inn Hiroshima Annex offers a range of wellness facilities including a sauna, a hot spring bath and a spa centre. We had an amazing stay at Dormy Inn Annex. We were able to securely drop off our luggage early. Then we explored the city and returned later to check in. Our luggage was waiting for us in our room. Very convenient! We loved the complimentary treats, such as coffee, lemonade, ice cream and ramen! There was also a welcome treat in our bedroom on arrival. There were plenty of toiletries to use if needed. The public bath was awesome! It had indoor and open air baths so it was nice to try both. We also used the free shuttle service to the JR station, which was very convenient with luggage! The room was spotless. I would absolutely stay here again!
