To me, this is not just the best hotel in Japan — it could easily be considered top-category in the world.

Re-opened in 2012 after thorough renovations, the Tokyo Station Hotel is registered as an Important Cultural Property and boasts gorgeous rooms in a classical European style. We absolutely loved everything! The room was perfect, the location unbeatable, the personnel very good and the breakfast! the one in the lobby bar was the very best, but the one upstairs was also very very good and the staff was top.

O Hakone Suimeiso está localizado a 3 minutos a pé da Estação de Hakone Yumoto e a 15 minutos a pé do Templo Sounji. great service with nice food and good location. we enjoyed a good relax time there. 2 meals are so good as both we 2 have different kinds allergies but the hotel meets all our demand and we enjoyed local food with Japanese style services! They are in good command of English so we communicate fluently.

Opened in 1878, The Fujiya Hotel features Meiji Era architecture set in Hakone’s natural beauty. The well-preserved building itself was impressive, and I expect it will be a memorable stay. The facilities are all clean and well-maintained.

Super friendly and patient staff despite a bit of language barrier. Complimentary alcohol and drinks in fridge. Cozy place and wonderful breakfast. The lodging is participating in a local tourism programme that provides some perks and benefits when patronising certain stores / places. I particularly like the 5-min sake tasting experience at Buko Shuzo.

The breakfast was great and the rooftop restaurant and bar was spectacular. This is easily one of the best hotels in Tokyo, and honestly, one of the best anywhere. Highly recommended.
