Ideally situated in the centre of Kyoto, ALA HOTEL KYOTO features air-conditioned rooms, a fitness centre, free WiFi and a restaurant. I loved the room. It was spacious and very clean (big enough to accomodate two big open suitcases). The lobby staff all spoke English. The baths were also spacious and clean. Every floor has a vending machine which is also awesome. When it was time to leave the staff took care of measuring our luggage and filling out the form to send our luggage to our next hotel. When I lost my credit card and it was found by the police, the staff called my room and let me know then they printed out a map and gave me clear instructions on where to go to get it back. All in all, my stay here was very plesant and me and my spouse intend to stay with them again in the future.

Housekeeping is consistent and attentive to cleanliness. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful; they gave us a warm welcome on the first day and assisted us with our luggage transfer. Small but thoughtful details are well taken care of — such as providing a charging cable, razor, and other essentials in the room, which really enhance the comfort level. There is also a beautifully designed small Zen garden in the hotel lobby, which adds a calm and elegant atmosphere as soon as you enter the building. The location is also excellent. There is a FamilyMart just 1 minute away, and a 7-Eleven store only 2 minutes away on foot. The nearest subway station is about a 5-minute walk. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located stay in Kyoto.
