Onyado Nono Matsumoto Natural Hot Spring is voorzien van kamers in Matsumoto, dicht bij station Matsumoto en Kasteel Matsumoto. Lots of amenities - onsen, popsicles, evening ramen and range of breakfast options including a lot of options for vegetarians like me.

Located in Karuizawa, Kyukaruizawa Kikyo, Curio Collection by Hilton is situated a 6-minute walk from Kyu Karuizawa Ginza Dori shopping street. Service was excellent, shuttle service was amazing, breakfast was delicious and rooms were very comfortable. Love the coffee machine. Staff were always ready to assist us.

Tawaraya ligt op 5 minuten lopen van treinstation Yudanaka. Het beschikt over accommodaties in Japanse stijl met gratis WiFi en een flatscreen-tv. The service as this Ryokan was 10/10, and was the most authentic one we stayed in during our 4 weeks in Japan. The staff were so lovely, and spoke great English. They showed us to our room, and gave us essentially a "room tour" whilst we drank complimentary tea. They gave us a map with nearby restaurants and ammenties noted on it. The private outdoor onsen was SO nice! You book a slot upon arrival, which you can access in the evening with 30 min slots. The onsen was large and the perfect contrast with the fresh cool air in the evening. Yukatas were provided for us as an option to wear around the hotel - both my partner and I are bigger than the average Japanese person (Wife is plus size, I am 6ft 2) and we both comfortably fit into the ones picked out for us. The only thing that threw us was that during breakfast, they cleared the beds from our room - had we known people would go in, we'd probably have neatened the room a bit haha! P.S don't skip the sushi restaurant a few doors down from the hotel. The sushi was EXQUISITE and they even have a phonetic Japanese to English page at the front so you can have a go at ordering properly with the chef.

Onyado Hishiya Torazo ligt in het gebied Shibu met warmwaterbronnen en beschikt over accommodaties in Japanse stijl. Fantastisch! Een prachtige authentieke ryokan met privé onsen. Beste overnachting van onze reis in Japan! :)

蔕 Heta Nozawa Onsen heeft een bar, en ligt in Nozawa Onsen in de regio Nagano, op 22 km van skigebied Ryuoo Ski Park en 33 km van Jigokudani Monkey Park. The property was beautiful, cozy and peaceful. The bath and sauna was exceptional, as was the host Kazuo-san (and the rest of the staff)! We also really liked the bar attached to the hotel - Openbook Yama. It is a branch of a bar in Golden Gai - really cool addition to the property!

阿智星降りの宿やま星 is gelegen in Achi, op 2,5 km van Achi Shrine, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een restaurant en een bar. The hotel's room is acceptional beautiful, spaciousand cosy. The onsen is serene and privacy. There is also sauna with star gazing facilities.

Shoraiso ligt in Yamanouchi, op 4,1 km van Jigokudani Monkey Park, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. It is by far the most outstanding place we have stayed in throughout Japan. The level of service excellence, the amenities and the attention to detail reaches heights unmatched by any other place we have seen or stayed at.

Le Sauna Villa Hakuba by JAMSZ ROYALE is gelegen in Hakuba, op 8 km van skigebied Tsugaike Kogen, en biedt accommodatie met een terras, gratis WiFi, een 24-uursreceptie, en een conciërgedienst. Solomon was an awesome, accommodating host , Le Sauna villa was a wonderful retreat and snow conditions at Hakuba unrivalled ❄️

斑尾高原どんぐり村 heeft een restaurant en skiën tot aan de deur, en biedt accommodatie in Madarao Kogen met gratis WiFi en uitzicht op de bergen. Cosy home for family of 4. 6 beds in total which slot into the top floor. Because of the roof slant, you'll have to sleep with you head towards the door. In winter the shower area gets chilly. Clean and tidy home and a drive to the ski slopes. The host does however shuttle you to and fro if requested for. Dinner was excellent. Choice between BBQ or Hotpot.

Restmance Pension Woody Hill bevindt zich in Iiyama, op 25 km van skigebied Ryuoo Ski Park en 30 km van Jigokudani Monkey Park. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean with excellent, modern, facilities. Our room had a good view, small lounge, kitchenette (we did not use it), separate sinks in each bedroom (we had an adjoining 2nd bedroom).The team there, led by Kenji were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, a lovely breakfast offered each morning with local bacon, local sausage, eggs, freshly baked muffins, amongst other 'Japanese' options. The evening food was delicious: different offerings on various nights. There's also a bar with a great selection of wines and local ciders. Laundry facilities. Overall a fabulous welcoming and helpful team, great accommodation and location (accessible by bus direct from Iiyama Station, walkable to the first lift at Madarao.
