Papa was so lovely. It was a beautiful traditional guest house. I had breakfast too and it was lovely. I also really appreciated lifts too and from ski school and to the train station. It was honestly such a beautiful stay and I will be back. For any solo travellers, it was a very family vibe and I felt very welcome. Thank you Papa!

Well-designed cabins made for a comfortable yet refreshing glancing experience - made extra special as we arrived in heavy snow ❄️ Both dinner and breakfast were also fantastic and delicious! Overall a really wonderful experience at great value 🤗

Next door to Akakura Kanko Ski Resort, Akakura Kanko Hotel boasts a golf course, a tennis court and a spa centre. Graceful resort with beautiful food on offer. Shuttle bus to and from train station and village was very convenient. Ski hire equipment and storage lockers onsite made everything so easy.

TABINO HOTEL Sado is offering accommodation in Sado. With a restaurant, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. A very beautiful hotel that is easily reachable from the ferry terminal and ideally located to explore the island. I even received a postcard as a gift, and the Onsen is just delightful. Can’t recommend enough and I would stay here again were I to come back to Sado island!

Set within 49 km of Ryuoo Ski Park and 49 km of Zenkoji Temple, Lotte Arai Resort features rooms in Myoko. Very lush, this was a really nice experience but of course, that comes with a cost. Everything was exceptional the room was stunning, facilities great, not to mention the skiing. Included breakfast had everything you could possibly want, catering to all tastes :-)

Guest Villa on the BI-CHI has a shared lounge, terrace and spa and wellness centre in Sado. With a garden, the 1-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. Gorgeous modern inn, with hostel style accommodations. We were a group of 6 people staying in 3 of the rooms. The beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious and well designed. We stayed in the summer and each room had its own AC unit. Loved the pajamas and hair/skin amenities. Shared spaces (kitchen, living/dining, bathrooms, showers, laundry) were clean, spacious, well appointed and lots of seating options to relax and eat. Our favorite part of this accommodation was the view of the beach and bay from the living area window, and the location directly on the water. Owner and staff were professional, very helpful, and friendly.

Hotel Yuzawa Yuzawa Denkiya provides free shuttle service to Echigo Yuzawa Station, a 5-minute drive away. It offers Japanese-style rooms with free Wi-Fi. I loved everything about this hotel. Family run and built by the owners grandfather with a natural spring Onsen - with both an outside and inside pool. Japanese style room with futons that were very comfy with extra mattresses provided so we could 'double up'. Free shuttle to and from the train station was great, especially as we were there in summer for Fuji rock festival. (Last shuttle was 0130am on festival days). They kept the Onsen open until after 2am for those of us late back too. Nothing was ever a problem.
