Not only was there a convenient shuttle bus stopping right outside Pension Moomin Papa to transport guests to the ski resorts, but whenever the shuttle didn't reach our desired destination, Moomin Papa graciously drove us wherever we needed to be. The private onsen provided a rejuvenating experience after a full day of skiing. Additionally, a delicious Western-style breakfast was provided every morning for only 1000 yen, adding to the exceptional value of our stay

Next door to Akakura Kanko Ski Resort, Akakura Kanko Hotel boasts a golf course, a tennis court and a spa centre. Graceful resort with beautiful food on offer. Shuttle bus to and from train station and village was very convenient. Ski hire equipment and storage lockers onsite made everything so easy.

The staff was VERY helpful in arranging transportation during a fully booked weekend on Sado Island. Goint the extra mile to follow up and get us a spot on an already fully booked bus back from the festival. Nice breakfast buffet, offering a mix of western and Japanese foods. And a bit better than normal expectations for a businessman hotel. Bed was up off the floor for us old folks.

We stayed in the lodge 4 bedroom. Each room had its own little quarter. It was fantastic, beautifully designed and spacious. With a balcony looking at the mountain. Onsen is spectacular

We were a group of 6 people staying in 3 of the rooms. The beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious and well designed. We stayed in the summer and each room had its own AC unit. Loved the pajamas and hair/skin amenities. Shared spaces (kitchen, living/dining, bathrooms, showers, laundry) were clean, spacious, well appointed and lots of seating options to relax and eat. Our favorite part of this accommodation was the view of the beach and bay from the living area window, and the location directly on the water. Owner and staff were professional, very helpful, and friendly.

Hotel Yuzawa Yuzawa Denkiya provides free shuttle service to Echigo Yuzawa Station, a 5-minute drive away. It offers Japanese-style rooms with free Wi-Fi. I loved everything about this hotel. Family run and built by the owners grandfather with a natural spring Onsen - with both an outside and inside pool. Japanese style room with futons that were very comfy with extra mattresses provided so we could 'double up'. Free shuttle to and from the train station was great, especially as we were there in summer for Fuji rock festival. (Last shuttle was 0130am on festival days). They kept the Onsen open until after 2am for those of us late back too. Nothing was ever a problem.
