Great location, clean and comfortable and good facilities as shown in photos. Very friendly staff. Amazing breakfast and nice mineral baths. Afternoon teas were a nice touch.

It was in a remote location, surrounded by natural beauty. The landscaping and location by the river was extraordinary. The building is all wood and natural stone, with a wonderful sense of feng shui.

Really excellent stay in this out of the way and beautiful place! Our room had a private hot spring bath - perfect for relaxing after a hike up to the many shrines on the mountain. We came for when the Kabuki theater had a show and it didn’t disappoint. Staff was multi-lingual. Food was excellent, Japanese set menus in a charming dining room.

It was very quiet, which was exactly what we wanted but beware that (at this time of the year) there are not that many restaurants/shops.
