River Retreat Garaku offers luxurious modern rooms and suites for a peaceful getaway on Jinzu River. Food: The Japanese style breakfast and French dinner were both exquisite. Room: Fabulous view of the river from the room. Clean, cosy and you can find many little things that show the thought put into the design. For example, there is a small sliding window between the bedroom and the bathroom that you can open and close. Spa: The experience was so pampering and relaxing, I fell into deep sleep and woke up feeling incredibly refreshed.

Open from June 2016, Toyama Onyado Nono boasts hot spring baths and is located in the heart of Toyama City, a 15-minute walk from JR Toyama Station. It features free WiFi and a restaurant. The moment when you walked in, everything is awesome. I took my family from Matsumoto to Toyama, and stayed in this amazing hotel. Compared to the last night we lived, Hotel Buena Vista in Matsumoto , was totally different even if you need to pay the same amount of money.

Located at the heart of Toyama City, Dormy Inn Toyama Natural Hot Spring offers modern rooms with free WiFi and a public bath. JR Toyama Train Station is a 15-minute walk away. Even for just one night, our stay at Dormy Inn Toyama was excellent. The onsen is definitely the highlight, made even better by the delicious free ice cream. All the facilities were very nice, and the breakfast was also notably good. The staff were incredibly helpful; we especially appreciated the thoughtful gesture when the lady at reception noticed us preparing our luggage for the rain and brought us protective covers.
