The following day, due to a late departure of our flight, we were lucky to have a nice tour to Negombo, its sights and the fish market, perfectly arranged by him, before we were transferred to the airport. - It must be noted that just opposite the hotel there is a good restaurant open until 23:00 which can be very helpful if you have a late flight arrival. - All in all, one of our best home-stays, highly recommended to everyone.

Set in Negombo, 700 metres from Negombo Beach Park, Green Wood Villa Negombo boasts air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. We were given the family room on the second floor, which is very spacious with high ceilings and two large beds. The room was tastefully decorated and well equipped, with AC, fan and a fridge. It has views over the canal and the large pool. The breakfast was generous and delicious. The property is in a quiet neighborhood a few minutes walk away from the sea front and restaurants. The host was very helpful and arranged our lift to the airport, a 20-25 minute drive away. A great place to start or end a trip to Sri Lanka.
