We had an amazing two night stay here at the end of our time in Sri Lanka. The food was incredible, especially the fish salad:). They hooked us up with a tuktuk driver to get us to Sigiriya Rock in the morning, then a Naturalist for an afternoon park tour to see elephants. The safari tour was incredible value and we saw lots and lots of elephants. We enjoyed a morning at the spa as our treat to ourselves before heading off to Kandy then the airport. It also was amazing and we walked out of there feeling like jello. The facilities are brand new, gorgeous, clean and well thought out. The location overlooking the lake in the private mango grove is very peaceful. The staff are helpful and laid back. I knew coming to Sri Lanka that there is a different dynamic vs Canada when it comes to women, and I certainly didn’t come with any intention of imposing my Canadian values here. However, being at this women managed and staffed hotel was a nice change during the trip where I felt like I could speak up and answer questions ahead of my partner without them looking to him for confirmation. Would 100% stay again and highly recommend.

The building is new. The owners were really nice! We had a nice chat during the rain. The husband has a tuktuk and dropped me in Inamaluwa (not for free of course) to catch my bus. Breakfast is included. Simple but good!

A beautiful spacious villa surrounded by nature: it is near a spectacular lake and rice fields. It is within a walking distance from Sigiriya and Pidurangala: we went there by foot. Our room was really large, fresh and clean equipped with air conditioning. It has a big bathroom with hot water and toiletries. The pool is big and clean, we used it every day. There are sun loungers as well. The house also has a playground with chess, table tennis and badminton. The breakfast was enormous 😀 and really tasty with fresh fruits and local goodies. They also served something new every day. Special thanks to the hosts Kasun and Pathum, they really made our stay there enjoyable. They helped us organize an elephant safari and a transfer to another city, advised on non-tourist attractions, and even delivered food from nearby restaurants free of charge. I would definitely recommend staying in Bungalow Resort for a pleasant vacation

The family working there are so nice and the food is freshly cooked every day. We had the best dinner in Sri Lanka. The hotel is situated in the middle of the nature so there are a lot of animals to see and if you want to do some activities the people in the hotel will help you out and give you good prices. We did the village tour and it was so worth it. The room and everything was really clean. I will definitely come again.
