Located less than 1 km from Simplon Music Venue, The Market Hotel offers 4-star accommodation in Groningen and features a fitness centre, a terrace and a bar. Very central location in Groningen, Even though during my stay, there was a carneval nearby on Grote markt with attractions and a lot of noise, windows did mitigate it quite well and I could sleep without an issue. Wellness is on the smaller size but since you may rent it for quite cheap for an hour that was not a problem. Breakfast was very good, with variety of choices, but not too much so I would get lost in options. Personnel was also very professional and nice.

22 km from Simplon Music Venue in Loppersum, Spoorzicht Long Stay Apartments provides accommodation with access to a sauna, hot tub and spa centre. The apartment that I had reserved was listed for 4 adults. However, at check in the receptionist explained that it would have been too small for us. This might have been a problem with the Booking.com platform? However, we were pleased as the receptionist upgraded us to a larger apartment. That was very kind!

This place is very unique, a beautiful quirky setting in a wonderful area. Wilma was a great host & very proactive with making sure we were comfortable. Would certainly stay again (but for longer next time) & will be telling our friends too.

Het Torentje van Trips, a property with a garden, is set in Tripscompagnie, 24 km from Simplon Music Venue, 23 km from Martini Tower, as well as 4 km from Sappemeer Oost Station. Location was very remote and quiet although we found stores an east drive away. Was a lovely adventure.
