Located at the foot of the Dovrefjell Mountains, Quality Hotel Skifer offers stunning views, free WiFi and a wellness area. Oppdal Train Station is only 200 metres away. Easy to find, location is great within the town. Room was really big and very comfortable. Nice big car park (not the hotels and you have to pay). Plenty restaurants within walking distance.

Røros Hotell lies surrounded by mountains in the UNESCO-listed town of Røros. It offers rooms with free WiFi and flat-screen TVs. Røros town centre is an 8-minute walk away. We found it very hard to find any fault with this hotel. It is positioned on a hill overlooking the main town and mining area of Roros, a short 5min walk down the road (or alternatively, there is a trail). Our room and bathroom were large and fully functional, the buffet breakfast was one of the best we've had in Norway, and the added bonus was a basement gym (with both machines and a small weight room), along with a 1-washing machine laundry area. We only had one night here, but could easily have stayed for several. If you are bringing mountain bikes with you, there are some awesome trails in the area! The really cool thing about this hotel is that it isn't used by tour groups, meaning you don't have mass groups filling up the breakfast restaurant.
