We stayed for 4 nights and I ended up extending for a further night. The property is in a great location within walking distance of all the main sights and amazing restaurants in Cusco. The property is cozy and beautiful. They have truly thought of everything, hot water bottles to warm your bed every night, night time tea to help you sleep, safe drinking water by the bed, by the kettle and in the bathroom as well as at the exit to collect on your way out for the day. The beds were super comfortable and the rooms spacious and clean. Every corner of the property is well thought out and decorated beautifully and there is a welcoming outdoor foyer to meet and gather with friends, read and relax and at night time gather around the fire pits. The staff were so friendly and helpful and always attentive to our needs. I became very unwell during my stay and the staff helped arrange a doctor to come out and see me and make sure I was always comfortable. The hotel restaurant was also fantastic, the Lomo Saltado was one of the best I had during my time in Peru and the buffet breakfast was delicious.

The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and my room — with an entire wall of windows letting in soft, natural light — felt so healing and serene. Urubamba is just 10 minutes away by colectivo or tuk-tuk, and getting around the valley with the colectivos is super easy and efficient. There’s a reason this place has such a high rating — it truly deserves every bit of it. I can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for warmth, comfort, and genuine hospitality in a stunning setting.

Vegetarian, dairy-free and vegan options can also be requested. The staff went beyond what we expected. The gardens were exquisite! This was our best stay in our whole trip to Peru, we felt so looked after. Lizzy even was there to greet us as we came in! It felt like such a relaxing stay :)

Tambo del Inka, a luxury establishment located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, is the only hotel in Urubamba that has a private train station with connections to Machu Picchu. The property has a swimming pool and spa. This was our second time to go to this hotel. I like so much the rooms, the huge common spaces and the wellness. The coffee machine in the room is a real extra. We traveld to Machu Picchu with the train (from the hotel’s train station) - it’s very comfy.
