"Cusco is incredible. I HIGHLY recommend making sure you have more than just 3 days to spend there; that's all the time we had, unfortunately. Plaza De Armas is incredible. Organika restaurant is incredible. So much amazing food everywhere and holding + petting the alpacas is the best experience. EAT AT ORGANIKA RESTAURANT. I won't go into detail but for the quality and creativity, the price is incredible. Also, eat at Papachas. It's a Gaston Acurio Burger joint located right in Plaza De Armas and it's so so so good. Cusco feels like Victoria BC, Canada. That's my home. I have never felt safer anywhere else in the world than I did in Cusco. Cusco is the best!"

"Uber charming village surrounded by mountains and ruins. The main ruins are fantastic - great to do with a guide to get the history and detailed info. Also visited the Quelloraqay ruins 450 metres from town. Several great, longer hikes are on the doorstep but unfortunately we didn't have time - I think it would be a great place to spend 3-4 days just for the day hikes. Had dinner and lunch at Apu Veronica - delicious Peruvian food - recommend the alpaca brochettes and trout served on sizzling hot stones. The fresh organic salads on the side were also a treat."

The best hotel in Cusco, is hands down, Antigua Casona. It is situated in the best area of Cusco, in the amazing old town centre, near to great spots for enjoying Peruvian cuisine. The hotel itself offers great dining opportunities in its lovely restaurant. Staff was amazing but what really blew our minds was the rooms, that offered luxury and modern notes while keeping the Peruvian style at its best. Great job, its not by luck the most wanted hotel in the area.

Inkaterra hotels are truly one of the best in Peru, and such a delight. We felt so taken care of throughout our short stay. They help with the luggage and meet you personally at the train station at the arrival and same for the departure. Hot tubs really helped to relax after the day of trip. Territory of the hotel is enormous and absolutely gorgeous. They have gardens, tea plantations, orchids and hummingbirds flying around. Stuff is incredibly attentive and helpful. And food in the restaurant is a delight. I am also very happy that we chose to stay the night here before going to Machu Piccu. We felt recovered and could fully enjoy an absolute masterpiece that Machu Piccu is❤️ Thank you so much guys for your care and service. Truly amazing experience and worth every penny

We really enjoyed this beautiful hotel. We had a beautiful colonial style room with very comfortable beds. The hotel grounds are also very beautifully organized. The breakfast was delicious, we even ate local exotic fruits. The hotel staff is beyond praise. We were very helped during 4 days by the manager Marina Romero in organizing many of our requests. We especially enjoyed the massages done by Yuddina and Kristina in the spa salon. They are incredibly talented masseuses! A huge thank you to them for the fact that we received true relaxation after a busy active day. We recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to spend a luxurious time in Sacred Valley.

It is a beautiful and impressive site, but the amount of tourism and sort of chaos and regimenting of who goes where and how and not knowing exactly which route has what sites and views takes a LOT away from just being able to enjoy and take in the views. I would likely NOT take route 3 and opt for 1 or 2.

Easy to walk around the town of Urubamba.

Easy to walk around the town of Urubamba. Centrally located in the Sacred Valley between Cusco, Pisac, Ollantaytambo etc... Plenty of hikes and attractions nearby. The Saywas and Pampa de Occoruruyoc hike are two of my favorites in the immediate area. There are a variety of restaurants/eateries in town to delight on, with Migas del Valle, Forty Bistro The Garage (multiple stalls), and Yupi Cafe listed amongst my favorites. Migas was my goto breakfast/bakery spot. It's easy to catch a combi bus at the main terminal on the central avenue, going in all directions - Cusco, Pisac, Ollantaytambo.

Cusco is beautiful if you stick to the tourist areas and are mostly unaffected by the sight of neglected dogs and don’t mind a constant barrage of people trying to sell you all types of items. It is a shame because the food is delicious and it’s a culturally interesting area. If you do go, make sure to have a meal in one of the many restaurants overlooking the square.

The city, is encapsulated in an area, with no new development. It is kept pristine over the years. I have visited it al least 8 times, since I was 20 years old, now I am 70. It is my favority town in the region of Cusco, second would be Pisac. This town has the beauty of the ruins/history, much to explore. Beautiful inca streets. At night, the stars. The morning rise and sunset. Exquisite experience. Stay there at least 2 days one night. Climb the ruins, both sides of the mountains. Stay a night for the Stars, before you venture to the train station to go to MachuPicchu. In MachuPicchu stay in aguas calients at least one night, climb WaynaPicchu.

Urubamba is a great, central location to stay when visiting the Sacred Valley. We like the countryside more than “town” so we stayed way up a mountain outside of town. The town itself is noisy and congested but some great shops and scenery.
