The best thing was the staff! Karyna and Antony were amazing with us. Always caring about our needs and providing really helpful tips on what to do. Facilities were really good, pretty, and bring some history with it. The location is perfect really close to the main square and from the drop offs of the tours. The breakfast is really good.

We had a wonderful stay at Afma Cusco! The hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways. The hot shower was perfect after long days of exploring, one of the best I’ve had in Peru. The room was very comfortable, quiet and even had heating, which is a huge plus in Cusco. The location is fantastic, close to everything yet in a calm and peaceful area. The breakfasts were fresh and generous, a great way to start the day. A special mention to Gjeis at the front desk, super friendly, always smiling and ready to help with anything. The entire staff was kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for comfort, tranquility and genuine hospitality in the heart of Cusco!

I enjoyed knowing about the culture of the people from Cusco. Also all the archaeological sites we visited were so impressed. The only issue we had to complain was the altitude but nothing we could do about it, after a couple of days we were fine.

It's a wonder of the world. We did route 3b and 2b. If we had to choose one it would be 2b. Great photo opportunities for " the shot" and you still see the lower areas. And lamas if you're lucky. Very close up. Go in the afternoon. Much quieter

They charge $27 per person (payable in Sols only, no USD or credit card) $27 includes Ollantay, Maras, Moray. This to me is just a way to squeeze out max from tourists. Maras, Moray are not nearby. It's an hour plus by car from Ollantay. As a result we did neither cos we were in no mood to be extorted after paying $160 for Vistadome Peru Rail train. The artisan market and square is good. Cusco and Machu Pichu are good enough. Ollantay became optional. They lose!!

We couldn’t decide between Urabamba and ollaytantambo, so glad we stayed he in urabamba. It’s much more of a local town, not built for tourists. Lovely restaurants and shops. We stayed here for 2 nights and then went to Ollaytantambo for a day and so glad we did it this way round! Ollaytantambo was full of tourists.

We enjoyed walking down to picac town from the intiwatana at Pisac archeological site. The best part of the site was not in the part where the guides, taxi drivers etc want to take you. Also we spent time at the sunday market in the town square. Our hotel was in the town square which as great.

We enjoyed Calca’s outdoor market, the towns people were very friendly and genuine. We took a collective to Lares- about 90 minutes from Calca- to soak in the outdoor hot pools- highly recommend- go early in day to explore the village, go to hot pools and eat at one of the many restaurants.

Sicuani is a clean, friendly, safe town with wonderful shops, range of goods, Plaza, eating options. The locals are awesome and so helpful! The cafe "Samana" in particular, just up from the Plaza, is wonderful and totally understands what foreigners want and need in terms of service and food.

It was nice, we were able to walk around without any issues. We were exchanging USD and it was safe. We really enjoyed our short time. The main reason that we were there was because of my girl surgery and we found a great doctor. Doctor Carla Zamalloa is just a great dentist in Cusco and very caring. My daughter loves her, we couldnt find a better doctor.

Great small town on the way to Machu Picchu.

Great small town on the way to Machu Picchu. Plenty of hotels for every taste and budget. You could try to buy 1000 tickets to Machu Pichu from local Ministry of Culture. Every day they are selling 1000 extra tickets for next day. Whenever you arriving it's always good to check as Ministry is open until 22.00. Also you need to be in the cue 6.00 or earlier when you want to be sure for tickets.
