Hotel staff were incredibly kind. They held our luggage in a secure room prior to check in and helped us to navigate to the hotel, which is centrally located. We (10 people) had arrived early to Aguas Calientes to try and buy Machu Picchu tickets in person. We were unable to get tickets for the next day, so we decided to leave back to Cusco that night. We didn’t stay the night for that reason, but used the rooms for naps and showers. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable with warm blankets. Showers were hot. Solid place, good people.

A person from the hotel met us at the train station and helped us get to the hotel (with our luggage). He was very polite and welcoming. My husband and I were celebrating our 6 year wedding anniversary and they gave us a room upgrade to a lovely room with a very comfortable bed, with river view and bathtub. The receptionist also gave us great restaurant recommendations. The hotel is a 2-min walk from the train station and very close from where the buses leave to Machu Picchu. Would definitely stay there again if I return!

They do pick you up at the train station when you arrive to help you with luggage. Walking distance to the hotel. Very quite at night even when it is right downtown. The bus that goes up Machu Picchu is right outside our hotel. Breakfast is good on the 6th flood with a great view of the whole town. Surrounded by lots of restaurant and massage places. Good reception who help me with printing out the ticket up Machu Picchu and also where to get the bus tickets. Free hot water and coco tea leaves. GReat view from our room.

Amazing hotel in Aguas Calientes. We had a room facing the river with a great view of the mountains from the balcony. The room was spacious and clean. The shower was hot (something we had not experienced in other hotels in Peru) and this was so important to us considering the weather was cold. In walking distance to all nearby bars and restaurants. The hotel offered a great breakfast with plenty of variety. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking to visit Macchu Picchu.

The property is beautifully located up on the hills. The rooms have a great view and the staff was very accommodating. They met us at the train station and walked us up the steep but beautiful stairway to the hotel. They packed us breakfast for our early trek to Match Pitchu and even let us change after we came back as we had already checked out. Overall fantastic experience. Recommend 10/10

Fantastic quirky hotel on the edge of the main square. Excellent location for everything in Aguas Calientes, bars, restaurants, MP bus and station. Rooms were large, clean with balcony and really good shower. Breakfast served from 5am to suit travellers to MP with fruit, breads, eggs, juices, cereals and hot drinks. Staff friendly and efficient couldn’t do enough to please their guests.

- Great location in the heart of Aguas Calientes, very close to the bus to Machu Picchu - A nice room for one night as a stopover on your way to Machu Picchu - WiFi provided but pretty weak - Helpful and nice staff - we couldn't have our breakfast at the hotel, so we got breakfast boxes to go - Possibility to store your luggage during your stay at Machu Picchu

The hotel is close to the train station, restaurants and convenience store. It is located on quiet zone so we could sleep well. They offer a complete breakfast with options. The hotel was clean, my room comfortable and the shower updated. The staff were polite, kind and make us feel welcome. We enjoyed our stay and we absolutely recommend this hotel.

Everything was fine, even more the staff. They went to the train station to guide me to the hotel, then they gave me a lot of advice for my MachuPicchu visit, and even it was 6 hours after the checkout, they assigned me a temporary room to take a shower before taking the train to go back to Cusco!

The people were nice and prepared us a breakfast bag for our early departure to Machu Picchu. The hotel room was generally good. It was a pity that we arrived late and left early and didn't have the chance to enjoy the view outside the window.

Beautiful hotel located right near the train station and across the bus pick up for Machu Picchu. The staff were attentive and held our bags after check out. Nice breakfast buffet was provided. Nice views of the river from the rooms.

The staff was very friendly, pleasant and helpful. The location of the hotel was very convenient, close to the trains station, restaurants and bus to Machu Picchu. There was a generous variety for breakfast.

It was close to the city and in a good place to start Machu Picchu Hike. We got little lunch paket instead early breakfast, but you get these in other hotels as well It is cheap

We were met at the train and accompanied on foot to the hotel. We were in the central area of Aguas Calientes, could walk everywhere. The bed was very comfortable.

nice hotel.. right at the city center . walking distance from Peru Rail station . the Wi-Fi could be better. the hotel owner was super hospitable.

All of the Taypikala hotels are top-notch. A very solid choice ti use as your base for visiting Machu Picchu.
