After a long journey, arriving at Wyndham Costa del Sol Lima Airport was exactly what I needed. The location is perfect if you’re flying in or out, and the hotel itself is very comfortable and well maintained. The service was excellent from the very beginning. The staff is kind, attentive, and truly makes you feel welcome. Breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety to start the day right. I would especially like to thank William, who helped me with my luggage at the airport. He was extremely kind and professional, and truly made a difference in my experience. Highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, location, and especially the quality of its staff. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was at a very high standard. The rooms were exactly as shown in the photos – clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. A big plus for the breakfast – very generous with high-quality products, so you can easily start your day fully energized. The staff was very friendly and helpful – they allowed us to leave our luggage for a few hours before our late flight, which was very convenient. Another advantage is the laundry service located right next to the hotel – very useful for longer stays. WiFi worked without any issues. Highly recommended – great standard and a smooth, hassle-free stay.

No visit to Peru would be complete without spending time in...

No visit to Peru would be complete without spending time in the city, despite the common call to fly straight to Cusco on arrival to the country. The coastal city of Lima provided an interesting contrast to the mountainous inland of Peru, the urban lifestyle another contrast to the Andean community way of life. During our 3 days here, we were mostly at Miraflores and Barranco. We felt the amount of time allocated here was just right. Much of Lima still provided nostalgia to a way of living that existed some 20-30 years ago. We explored the streets, ran into lots of cats at Parque Kennedy and visited the ruin right in the middle of Miraflores, Huaca Pucllana. Now what was absolutely outstanding about Lima was the food! Of course, before we arrived, we have heard a lot about Lima being the Food Capital of the World, but we were half-sceptics, knowing too well how social media tended to exaggerate things. But wow, we were blown away by the supreme mastery of flavors and blends by many chefs plying their trade here. Two highly recommended restaurants are Maido and Isolina Taberna Peruana. The former needed advanced reservation weeks ahead. I must mention the ceviche, or cebiche, both referring to raw fish marinated in some type of acid and complemented with other produces, which is a must-try. Here at Lima, white fish is normally used and that’s the best. When we had the dish in the Andes, trout or salmon was used instead, and it was just not the same. I enjoyed the coastal walk a lot. At sunset, it was beautiful. That would be the lasting image of Lima for me - paragliders floating into the golden sun - over the steep cliffs of the Southern Pacific.

Full of character, the historical centre is amazing.

Full of character, the historical centre is amazing. Great food and drinks. Don't miss the pisco sour! Full of history; there are pyramids dotted all over the city. Pucllana pyramid shouldn't be missed. Pachacamac to the southern end of Lima was amazing too.

Lima has a lot to offer.

Lima has a lot to offer. Barranco, with its galleries, beaches and street art was our favourite. After having visited several locations in the Andes, we did not explore museums and exhibitions in Lima, but would be happy to do so if we were to visit the city again. Had some very good meals at restaurants here, especially at Meritó (expensive tasting menu). We used Uber to get around, but we also walked a lot. The walk between Miraflores and Barranco was especially enjoyable (50 min). The city centre (historical centre) was interesting to see, but not a place where you would stay. It is said not to be quite safe at night, and it does not have the holiday charm that Miraflores and Barranco have.

Lima is not a great city in my opinion.

Lima is not a great city in my opinion. City centre is messy and chaotic. Food is good. Miraflores are is good. The Larcomar shopping centre is nice sitting next to a cliff provides a nice view of the sea. Crossing street in Peru is not safe. Drivers does not respect pedestrians. Food is the best in Peru by far better than Mexican food. Puente de los suspiros is nice to visit.

We did an organised group tour going to 4 countries.

We did an organised group tour going to 4 countries. Was busy but we saw so much. We then finished off with 4 extra nights in Lima which was great. Stayed in miraflores which is a better area and felt very safe even walking back to our hotel after dinner. Did a tour of the Inca pyramid which was excellent and we were able to walk there. Took a taxi into the central area with beautiful old buildings and many churches. Did the catacombs in the san fransisco church but not as good as we were excepting and there were no English speaking guides.

Not usually a fan of big cities and they say that NY never sleeps but Lima is definitely world class as far as things to do, visit, foods etc... Definitely recommend but should stay in Miraflores or Larcomar as it's more touristic and also safer and you can go anywhere and feel ok.

You should be aware that the Sheraton is a landmark hotel in Lima steeped in history. The design would merit an architectural listing in the UK. The central atrium is dizzying. The hotel is dated and harks back to the 60's but that is part of the appeal. It would be unfair to compare it and it's facilities to a newer four or five star hotel. The location is a short walk to the historic centre of Lima. This isn't Miraflores! It's old Lima. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was an excellent size with a large comfy bed.

Hotel with a great location for those staying in the Miraflores area. It’s close to the Lacomar Shopping Mall and several main streets filled with restaurants and bars, yet the hotel’s street is quite calm and quiet. The receptionists were very attentive and kind, offering many valuable tips on what to do. The breakfast was tasty and served in a very personalized way. In fact, they prepared a special breakfast for us, even before the kitchen opened, so we could take it to the airport.

Taking into the account the city, Lima, which is not very nice at all, this hotel is located in the better part of town, I understand. We flew into Lima with a view to a two-night (one day in effect) stay to get over jet lag and have a look round. This hotel is ideal for that length of stay - room not huge but adequate for a short stay, service by staff very good, dinner and breakfast very good and good VFM though, beware, wine is not cheap and breakfast is best booked with the room.

Hotel perfectly located within Miraflores area. Very comfortable beds and superb air conditioning in room. Great pillows , like honestly best nights sleep in a long time. Buffet breakfast was the best we had in 3 months in South America. Desktop computers to use in the co-working space of the hotel was really convenient for us specifically.

Location, location, location! Is is located at a pedestrian street so very little traffic noise. Great breakfast!!!! And the restaurant Kauza had amazing food too! The roof top bar was cozy too. I loved the hotel is one of the few old houses in Miraflores and not one of those tall modern buildings. It had a very “Lima” coziness vibe.
