Situated 800 metres from Ursu Lake, Ensana Ursina in Sovata offers a bar. With a shared lounge, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The hotel was newly refurbished, painted. The staff was very kind, spoke also Hungarian. They were flexible to change our rooms because we wanted to look toward the lake. We had no view to the lake (no such room I was told) but still we had amazing view. And we also had late check out. The spa is beautiful! Enough beds, the water elements work frequently. We could use also the spa center of the next hotel which is much bigger but much crowder and not so cosy. Breakfast was vast and good!

Kallias Dome Resort offers a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 6.2 km of Ursu Lake. Featuring a spa and wellness centre, the 4-star luxury tent has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. We had seen photos but we were not prepared for how roomy the dome was.

Set in Sovata, less than 1 km from Ursu Lake, Pensiunea Senin offers accommodation with ski-to-door access, free private parking, pool with a view and a spa and wellness centre. Food was great, we took three meals per day and it was never under our expectations. Soups are especially great. Would come back always there. Parking is difficult in the region, but we never had any issues to find a spot. Owner is very helpful and the hotel is located in the perfect spot.

H49 Apartman Wellness & Spa - Adults only provides a sauna and free private parking, and is within 3.3 km of Ursu Lake. the breakfast was not varied, it was prepared and portioned, the day before and put in the fridge!! at this quality, what do they claim to have in a hotel or apartment (What is it) I expected more! the sauna is small (2 people if you sit down) and it doesn't work! they start it when you get to the spa area (even if you have an appointment made in advance)!

Featuring an open-air bath and views of inner courtyard, Boutique Hotel Le Baron is a guest house situated in a historic building in Găneşti, 39 km from Biertan Fortified Church. We booked a two-night stay at the boutique hotel Le Baron during our one-week trip through Transylvania. The place was excellent, featuring a large backyard that our dog loved and offering a beautiful view. The location was perfect for us. We were able to organize day trips to many destinations within a 100 km radius with ease. The staff were friendly and professional, and the breakfast was delicious and varied.
