Supermarket shops about a 20/ 30 minute drive and we were able to get some food and use the microwave. Not long after we left our car left the road due to the snow and our host Per was very kind and superb and arranged for his friend to come with a tractor and rescue us. Well above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you so much.

The room was wonderful and clean, and the food at the hotel is delicious. The staff are wonderful and went to great lengths to help us be comfortable.

This stylish design hotel is located in central Piteå and features a top-floor restaurant, a sky bar and an on-site spa. The rooms feature elegant décor and free WiFi. The check-in was friendly and fast. The room and view was awesome! Such a great view! The breakfast was so luxurious and we talked to a staff member, a young girl, she had been in Sweden a few years. Her hospitality and friendliness was to a 10✨. We will definitely recommend this hotel and we want to go back! I think we came at a day where the roof top bar was closed but then we headed out in Piteå and had a lovely evening. Definately a hotel and town we’re revisiting!

SKOG - Aurora Igloos Resort cuenta con vistas al jardín, está ubicado en Kalix y tiene un restaurante, cocina compartida, cafetería, jardín y parrilla. We had the most wonderful time in the Frozen Sea Aurora Igloo. Our hosts were so accomodating, friendly and thoughtful. The breakfast was delivered fresh each day and there was plenty of variety and options. The beautiful hosts even treated the family to lovely Christmas gifts as it was leading up to Christmas. It was the perfect location to view the northern lights, even when the aurora alerts were not expecting any! The remoteness (but still only 5 minutes to town) made it the perfect location to view them from the comfort of our warm igloo.
