The Bungalows are all new or newly renovated in the past few years. They are impeccably designed to integrate amenities traveling guests want while also staying true to a Thailand feel. The AC unit worked like a charm! The pool area, beachfront and restaurant areas are very well laid out and so inviting! We didn't want to leave. We enjoyed two massages while on property as well that were wonderful. The massage place is directly overlooking the beach so you can hear the waves crashing. While it is more affordable to get a massage up the road, the fact that you can have it beachside is worth the extra coin. A truly nice touch! The restaurant has ample options for breakfast too! We especially enjoyed the ability to order custom smoothies. Additionally, we ate dinner here the first night of our stay and enjoyed it so much that we ate every meal at the hotel. Loved the Massaman Meatballs, Satay, Shrimp, Cashew Chicken Stir-Fry and Creme Brûlée! The owners are on site and you can sense it. They care. They want the guests to have a memorable experience. They checked in on us, made sure to always say hello. To be honest, we did not want to leave. It was hard saying goodbye to such a wonderful place. We can not wait to return and will tell all our friends to visit here as well!

I love everything at The Houben. The view is spectacular. The rooms are incredibly beautiful. The staff are very lovely. We're there for the second time now and we'll definitely be back there again. We can't get enough of this place. Highly recommended👌

Fantastic view from our private villa, incredibly attentive and friendly staff, amazing breakfast spread with the best French toast we’ve ever had, complimentary speedboat transfer to the hotel, the ability within walking distance to go to outside bars and restaurants if you want get some cheaper food, extremely quick response time to inquiries and requests, a huge amount of privacy in the villa as the distance to any neighbors is quite large

It was a decision between 9* and 10* rating - Rooms are well kept and spotless, decor is pretty basic but it fits well. - Bathroom is comfortable. - Both swimming pools are very good - Staff is very kind and smiling - General Manager Franck always responds to Whatsapp messages and does his best to meet all requests - amazing and very unique thing, only possible in a smaller hotel like Layana - Hotel is situated next to a great, sandy and clean beach But all that aside, what truly won our hearts, is the super unique peacefulness and tranquility of Layana. It’s rare to be able to relax as much as we did in here and we will definitely come back!

I had a great stay here, the silence at night and the view of the hills is something you will love. The bed was very comfortable and the aircon was silent enough to sleep at night. The rooms are spacious and you have a patio. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Fantastic location, directly on the beach with its own private seating area. Everything you need is provided and there are countless bars and restaurants both ways along the beach. Faces directly west, so perfect to watch the sun set. Independently run by a nice couple who also operate the massage business next door.

I loved my stay here!! I booked 2 nights and ended up staying for a month!!! Tac and David are wonderful hosts! They keep the grounds super clean and they are always ready to help with anything. The location is amazing - 30 sec walk to the beach and tons of wonderful restaurants around. Amazing hotel, very clean with beautiful views, Mrs. Nee in reception was super helpful with great attitude. She always supported us if were anything needed.
